The contest had the participation of 34 officers from agencies, units and schools in the entire Military Region.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the contest, Major General Pham Anh Tuan, Political Commissar of Military Region 7, emphasized: “The contest is an opportunity for us to review together the glorious golden pages of history, the glorious feats of arms, the combat experiences and the examples of steadfast, indomitable, intelligent and brave revolutionary heroes in the resistance wars, vividly depicting the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers. Through the vivid, touching and authentic stories, each officer and soldier has more opportunities to study, practice, foster patriotism, national pride, the will to strive and rise up, ready to contribute to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. This is also an opportunity to discover and nurture positive nuclei in propaganda work, traditional education, contributing to enriching the cultural and spiritual life of officers and soldiers in the unit and locality”.

Major General Pham Anh Tuan also requested the Organizing Committee and the Jury to mark the exam objectively, impartially and accurately. Each contestant participating in the contest strictly followed the rules and regulations, united and determined to achieve the highest results. After the contest, the Military Region selected comrades with high achievements to educate the traditions of officers and soldiers of the units in the Military Region, contributing to fostering ideals, spreading traditions and combat experience among officers and soldiers, and building a strong and comprehensive unit.

Right after the opening ceremony, many contestants brought many touching stories close to the soldiers' lives. Each story is a true slice of the brave fighting spirit, strong will and deep comradeship, brotherhood and love between the army and the people. The stories left many deep emotions, contributing to spreading the tradition and good values ​​of the Army and Military Region 7 in all units in the coming time.
