In 2023, the first "Pink Dream" Summer Camp was held at Nuong Yen Tu Village, Uong Bi City, with the theme "Listening to children with our hearts, protecting children with our actions." The program brought together 100 outstanding children, including members of the Provincial Children's Council, district-level Children's Participation Rights Clubs, disadvantaged children, and children from the Provincial Protection Center. They participated in traditional cultural activities such as mask painting, Dong Ho folk painting, meditation, and training sessions on preventing violence and abuse against children, promoting children's participation in issues concerning them.
Following its success, in 2024, the "Pink Dream" Summer Camp was held in Dong Trieu City with the theme "We are Dien Bien Phu soldiers," to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory. The program involved 100 outstanding young Pioneers and children representing nearly 250,000 young Pioneers and children in the province, along with members of the Provincial Children's Council and the District-level Children's Participation Rights Club. At this summer camp, the Provincial Children's Council organized activities to educate the children about traditions, cultural exchanges, and artistic performances, contributing to fostering national pride and a sense of responsibility towards their homeland.
In 2025, the "Pink Dream" Summer Camp, themed "Quang Ninh Children Steadily Stepping into a New Era," took place in Hanoi, celebrating the success of the 10th National Congress of Exemplary Children of Uncle Ho. During the camp, the children visited the Vietnam Military History Museum, participated in training courses on preventing violence and child abuse, and promoted children's participation in issues affecting them. They also experienced traditional cultural activities such as calligraphy, making sticky rice cakes, and cooking rice in clay pots. The Provincial Youth Union also organized specialized training courses on "Improving Skills in Preventing Violence and Child Abuse" and "Guiding Children to Participate in Healthy and Creative Interactions in the Online Environment" to provide knowledge and skills to core groups of children, children from disadvantaged backgrounds, and the team of teachers in charge of the Youth Union.
Bui Ngoc Han, a student from Quang Phong Secondary School (Hai Ha district), shared: "I am honored to be one of the 100 students participating in this year's 'Pink Dream' Summer Camp. I find this program very meaningful. Through experiential activities, we are educated about the historical traditions and culture of our nation. We also get to share our own 'Pink Dreams,' and cultivate our character to strive to fulfill our dreams of contributing to our homeland and becoming useful citizens."
The Pink Dream Summer Camp is a symbol of love, care, and responsibility towards the future generation. The program not only brings joy and laughter to children but also contributes to building a humane society where all children can live, learn, and develop in the best possible environment.
In today's context, where children face numerous challenges ranging from their living environment to technological advancements, creating safe and healthy spaces like the Pink Dream Summer Camp becomes even more essential. This is a place where children are listened to, can share their feelings, and develop holistically, preparing them with a solid foundation for the future.
