At the forum, students shared their advantages and disadvantages in studying and living, and expressed their thoughts and aspirations regarding the issue of child marriage that is happening in the community. They also sent many messages and specific suggestions to leaders at all levels, agencies and organizations with the hope of having a healthy, safe learning and playing environment that is suitable for the psychology of their age.
Community media teams also performed skits, vividly recreating real-life situations related to child marriage and prevention messages.
Speaking at the forum, Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union Tran Thi Binh emphasized: We wish to listen to the voices of children aged 15-18 in three mountainous districts, especially in disadvantaged areas, areas with many families having early marriage and consanguineous marriage. From these shares, departments, political and social organizations will develop plans to accompany children in preventing early marriage, building a positive environment in families, schools and communities.
The forum is a practical activity to contribute to preserving good traditional cultural values, while condemning and eliminating backward customs that are no longer suitable for modern customs and social norms...
