Visiting Vietnamese Heroic Mother Ngo Thi Thien at Giap Thuong 2 Residential Group, Huong Tra Ward, Ms. Pham Thi Minh Hue expressed her deep gratitude for the sacrifices and contributions of her mother and her family. During the resistance war against the US, Thien's husband and one son heroically sacrificed their lives and were posthumously awarded the title of martyr by the Party and State. One son is a war invalid, with a loss of working capacity of 21-61%.

Ms. Pham Thi Minh Hue requested that local authorities regularly visit, encourage, and provide timely support so that her mother can continue to live happily and healthily, and forever be the pride of her family and society.

During the resistance war against the US, Mr. Mai Xuan Lua (Phu O 1 Hamlet, Kim Tra Ward) was the Squad Leader of the Militia and Guerrilla Team of Hung Thai Commune (now Kim Tra Ward). During the resistance war, he was exposed to toxic chemicals, with a disability rate of 41%.

After peace was restored, war invalid Mai Xuan Lua overcame difficulties, actively worked in production, participated in social activities, and made many contributions to the locality and community. At the same time, he was also known as an active veteran in searching for and reburying the graves and remains of martyrs in the area.

During the visit, Ms. Pham Thi Minh Hue thanked and praised Mr. Mai Xuan Lua's efforts and contributions to society, and expressed her hope that Mr. Lua would continue to promote the spirit of self-reliance and self-improvement, and be a shining example for the younger generation to follow.

Also on this occasion, from July 23-25, leaders of Kim Tra ward, Huong Tra ward and Binh Dien commune visited and presented gifts to families with outstanding revolutionary contributions in the area. This is an annual activity to honor the great contributions of previous generations in the cause of national liberation and defense of the Fatherland.

On the same afternoon , Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the Economic - Budget Committee of the Hue City People's Council Phan Thien Dinh and a delegation of officials visited and presented gifts to outstanding policy families in the wards of Vy Da, My Thuong, Duong No and Thuan An.

In Vy Da ward, the delegation visited Ms. Che Thi Mung (born in 1950) - a member of the group of 11 Song Huong girls who participated in the youth volunteer force during the resistance war. Mr. Phan Thien Dinh emotionally shared: "Today's young generation always remembers and appreciates the great contributions of the previous generation".

In My Thuong ward, the delegation visited Mrs. Tran Thi Suong (born in 1929), the mother of two martyrs who died in the resistance war. She was awarded the title of Vietnamese Heroic Mother in 2015. Mr. Phan Thien Dinh expressed his deep gratitude and wished Mrs. Tran Thi Suong a happy and healthy life with her children and grandchildren.

Visiting wounded soldier Tong Tien (born in 1965) - with a disability rate of 21% in Duong No ward, who is still facing many difficulties, Mr. Phan Thien Dinh shared and encouraged Mr. Tong Tien to continue promoting the qualities of a soldier, overcoming difficulties and rising up in life.

Visiting Mr. Phan Van Tin (born in 1948), a seriously wounded soldier in Thuan An ward, Mr. Phan Thien Dinh asked the locality to continue to care for and support Mr. Phan Van Tin and his family to overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.

“Taking care of families with meritorious services is not only a responsibility but also a sacred sentiment, demonstrating the nation’s morality of “When drinking water, remember its source” and “Repaying gratitude”. Through this meaningful activity, the city continues to spread the spirit of deep gratitude, affirming the nation’s tradition and revolutionary values in today’s era,” Mr. Phan Thien Dinh emphasized.
