Lao Cai has 3 individuals recognized with titles at the "Pride of Vietnamese Farmers" Program in 2025

The Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union has just issued a decision to recognize the titles of "Outstanding Vietnamese Farmer" and "Farmer Scientist" in 2025. Lao Cai province is honored to have 2 farmers and 1 businessman selected.

Two typical farmers recognized with the title of “Outstanding Vietnamese Farmer” in 2025 are Mr. Phung The Tai, Bao Yen commune and Mr. Do Cao Cuong, Thac Ba commune. The businessman recognized with the title of “Farmer Scientist ” for the 6th time - in 2025 is pharmacist Do Tien Sy, Director of TraphacoSapa LLC.

Thanks to knowing how to take advantage of the strengths of planted forests, he organizes production and processing effectively, achieving a total revenue of 3 - 5 billion VND each year, with a profit of over 800 million VND. His facility creates regular jobs for 23 workers, more than 30 seasonal workers, with an income of 9 - 12 million VND/person/month.

Not only is he good at economic development, he also actively participates in the new rural construction movement, supports members in difficulty, and contributes materials and funds to build public works.

Mr. Do Cao Cuong (center of photo), Thac Ba commune, is successful with the wood processing and livestock farming model.

Mr. Do Cao Cuong, Thac Ba commune with a model of processing planted forest wood associated with raising pigs and sows. Each year, his facility processes about 6,000 m³ of wood, while maintaining a herd of 500 pigs and 150 sows, bringing in revenue of over 61 billion VND, with an average profit of 5.3 billion VND/year.

The model has created regular jobs for 25 workers and 15 seasonal workers, with an income of about 7.5 million VND/person/month.

In addition, Mr. Cuong actively contributes to the construction of new rural areas, supports social activities, and shares plants, seeds and production techniques with members in difficulty. For many years, he has been honored as a good producer and businessman at all levels, becoming a typical example of a good farmer in economic development in the locality.

Pharmacist Do Tien Sy, Director of TraphacoSapa LLC, is the person who turned TraphacoSapa into a leading enterprise in the production and trading of medicinal herbs, with a GMP-standard factory, nearly 100 hectares of growing area, creating jobs for more than 3,000 workers, mainly ethnic minorities.

Besides production, Mr. Sy also focuses on scientific research, implementing many projects to preserve precious medicinal plants, developing raw material areas associated with increasing people's income, and actively participating in social and charity work.

The recognition of three individuals from Lao Cai with the title in 2025 is a source of pride for the province, while also affirming the pioneering and creative role of local farmers and entrepreneurs in developing sustainable agricultural and rural economy.
