Lao Cai introduces many famous specialties at the Autumn Fair 2025

The Lao Cai Highlands Cuisine Area at the 2025 Autumn Fair will introduce 3-star or higher OCOP products along with many famous specialties such as thang co, seven-color sticky rice, black banh chung, Tu Le green rice flakes, etc.

The 2025 Autumn Fair will open on October 26 and last until November 4, 2025 at the Vietnam Exhibition Center (VEC), Hanoi .

The fair is chaired by the Ministry of Industry and Trade , in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Vingroup, Vietnam Exhibition Center and related units. This is a large-scale promotional event, expected to attract hundreds of thousands of visitors.

According to Plan No. 126/KH-UBND of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee, the province participates in the Fair to promote trade, investment, tourism ; promote the province's culture and society to domestic and international friends.

The Lao Cai delegation participating in the Fair includes provincial leaders, representatives of departments, branches, associations, enterprises, cooperatives, artisans and actors. This is an opportunity for Lao Cai to promote the local image, attract investment, expand cooperation, contribute to spreading the unique cultural and tourism values ​​of Lao Cai province to domestic and foreign tourists, and at the same time contribute to the economic growth target in 2025.

Lao Cai will participate in the exhibition area of ​​typical products of the province, in the subdivision "Autumn of Vietnamese land - Autumn colors and fragrance."

With the theme "Lao Cai - Where the colors of the Northwest converge," Lao Cai province's booth displayed typical tourism products, promotional publications for Sa Pa, Bac Ha, Bat Xat, Bao Yen, Muong Lo, Mu Cang Chai; introduced brocade products, organized workshops with artisans, performed folk arts, showcased ethnic costumes and recreated cultural festivals.

The province's pavilion will be designed in the model of mountain ranges, like alternating lotus petals, incorporating images of Lao Cai, divided into clusters of models, including two main gates and two side gates to create an open space for the entire pavilion. In the middle of the pavilion, create a four-sided LED block to display videos and images of Lao Cai.

Accordingly, the gate is stylized in the shape of a mountain range - a typical symbol of the Lao Cai highlands. The triangular blocks repeat like mountain peaks, at the foot of the gate is the majestic Fansipan peak and the mountainous terrain of the Northwest.

The booth area is inspired by Fansipan peak, terraced fields, highland markets, brocade patterns as the main image, with green - yellow - red colors (green of mountains and forests, yellow of ripe rice, red of the culture of 5 ethnic groups).

The cultural space will be designed in the model of a stylized stilt house, with areas for artisans to weave, display costumes, traditional musical instruments (pipes, flutes, drums, looms), along with a corner for performing folk arts such as Mong pipe dance, Tay then singing, and xoe dance.

It is expected that visitors will be introduced to and see demonstrations of the brocade production process of the Mong and Red Dao ethnic groups; experience the art of beeswax painting; soak their feet in Red Dao herbal baths and wear traditional costumes of the Mong, Dao, Thai and Tay ethnic groups.

In particular, the highland culinary area will introduce 3-star or higher OCOP products along with many famous specialties such as Seng Cu rice, Artichoke extract, Gynostemma pentaphyllum, tea, dried buffalo, Shan Thinh tea, Suoi Giang snow Shan tea, Mu Cang Chai honey, cinnamon products: cinnamon tea, cinnamon powder, cinnamon toothpick boxes, cinnamon tea boxes, cinnamon essential oil, medicinal herbs...

Visitors will also enjoy Lao Cai's typical dishes such as thang co, banh day, 7-color sticky rice, black banh chung, and Tu Le green rice flakes.

Through investment, trade and tourism promotion activities within the framework of the Fair, Lao Cai province wishes to promote tourism, culture and society of the province to all regions in the country and internationally, providing information and solutions to help Vietnamese enterprises seek cooperation opportunities, boost growth in export and import turnover, promote cooperation, economic development, trade-services-tourism for Lao Cai and the provinces in the Northwest region and the provinces on the economic corridor "Kunming-Lao Cai-Hanoi-Hai Phong-Quang Ninh"./.

The 2025 Autumn Fair will be held at the Vietnam Exhibition Center (VEC), Dong Anh, Hanoi. The opening ceremony will take place at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 26, 2025; the closing ceremony will take place at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2025.

The fair has the participation of 34 provinces and cities with thousands of enterprises, cooperatives and large corporations of Vietnam, and attracts a large number of international partners and enterprises to exhibit, trade and seek cooperation opportunities.

The fair is organized into 5 thematic zones, demonstrating the comprehensiveness of Vietnam's production, trade, consumption, culture and tourism capacity.

That is:

- "Industry-Trade-Service: Prosperity" Zone: Implementing unit: Ministry of Industry and Trade; location: Hall 1, Hall 2, Hall 3; area 30,000m2. This zone displays, introduces, and promotes products in the fields of industry, trade, and services. Booths are arranged according to each industry, ensuring the unified identity of the Fair and professionalism in display.

- "Family Collection" area: Implementing unit: Vingroup Corporation/Vietnam Exhibition Fair Center Joint Stock Company; location - area: Hall 4, Hall 5 - 20,000m2. Hall 4 is a space to introduce and promote consumer products and goods with strong brands in the retail system and Vincom commercial center. Hall 5 is an area to display and promote wooden products, interior and exterior materials, and home decoration.

- "Autumn Land of Vietnam - Autumn Colors and Fragrances" Zone: Implementing unit: People's Committees of provinces and cities; location: Hall 6, Hall 7; area 20,000 m². This zone displays and promotes typical and distinctive products of each locality; products with collective brands, certifications, and geographical indications. Each province and city organizes a common booth area of ​​about 200 m².

- "Quintessence of Autumn in Hanoi" area: Implementing unit: Hanoi People's Committee; location: Hall 8 and Main Hall; area: 17,000m2. In which, Hall 8: Space to introduce typical industrial-commercial products, OCOP products, craft village products, display miniatures, creative models. Main Hall: Introduce Hanoi culture, tourism and cuisine, performance area, product experience, trade connection area and art display models imbued with the identity of the Capital.

- "Quintessence of Vietnamese Culture" zone: Implementing unit: Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; location: Central Hall; area: 10,000m2. This zone is a space to introduce and commercialize typical products of 12 cultural industries; cinema, music, performing arts, fine arts, publishing, television, fashion, cuisine, tourism, sports... This is a place to connect creativity and business, where businesses, organizations, and artists can directly exhibit, sign contracts, exchange, seek partners, and expand the market./.
