(CLO) On March 14, the People's Committee of Can Loc district coordinated with Kim Song Truong commune and the Nguyen Huy - Truong Luu clan to solemnly organize a ceremony to receive the National Historical Relic Certificate for the tomb of the famous person Nguyen Huy Tuu. The event aims to honor the historical values and cultural heritage related to the famous person in particular and the Nguyen Huy - Truong Luu clan in general.
Nguyen Huy Tuu (1690 - 1750) was born in Truong Luu village, now Kim Song Truong commune, Can Loc district, Ha Tinh province. He was an example of perseverance in studying and being an honest mandarin. In 1713, he passed the Huong Cong exam, then passed the Tue Khoa exam in 1717 and participated in the Hoi exam, passed the Tam Truong exam and then became a mandarin.

Under the Le - Trinh dynasty, he held many important positions such as Thiem su, Tham chinh Thai Nguyen, Ta Thi Lang of the Ministry of Public Works, and was given the title Khiet Nha Hau. After his death, he was awarded the title Duc Bao Trung Hung Don Ngung Ton Than by the Duc Nguyen dynasty.
Besides his political career, Nguyen Huy Tuu also contributed to the country's academics with the work "Tinh ly toan yeu" consisting of 612 pages of Chinese characters, currently stored at the Institute of Han Nom Studies and the private residence of Nguyen Huy's descendants. He is also one of the five authors of the Phuc Giang School Woodblocks - a documentary heritage recognized by UNESCO in 2016.
Leaders of Ha Tinh province and Can Loc district presented the National Monument Ranking Certificate for Nguyen Huy Tuu's tomb to local authorities and representatives of the Nguyen Huy - Truong Luu family.
The Nguyen Huy family was highly respected with many outstanding talents. Of his six children, two passed the doctoral exam and became great literary writers: Nguyen Huy Oanh and Nguyen Huy Quynh. The whole family had three people who were granted the title of king under the Le dynasty, and their names were recorded in history books.
With his great contributions, in 2012, Nguyen Huy Tuu's tomb was ranked as a provincial historical and cultural relic by the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province. On November 20, 2024, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism officially recognized it as a national relic.
The ceremony to receive the Certificate of Relic Ranking is an important milestone, expressing the gratitude of today's generation to the national cultural celebrities, and at the same time spreading the cultural heritage value of the Nguyen Huy - Truong Luu family to the general public.
