On the morning of May 20, the Department of Education and Training held a ceremony to award the title of "Excellent Teacher" and commend and reward outstanding teachers and students of Kon Tum province in the 2023-2024 school year.
Attending the ceremony were comrades: A Pot - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Y Ngoc - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Huynh Quoc Huy - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and representatives of a number of departments, branches, sectors, and People's Committees of districts and cities.
In the 2023-2024 school year, the provincial education and training sector continues to have steady development steps, the quality and resultsof education are improved, and the position of the sector is increasingly affirmed.

At the ceremony, 2 teachers were honored to be awarded the title of "Excellent Teacher" by the President; 6 groups were awarded the Emulation Flag of the Government; 7 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Prime Minister; 17 students with high scores in the National High School Student Competition were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Ministry of Education and Training; 18 students and 34 teachers with high scores in the National High School Student Competition, 204 students with high scores in the Provincial Grade 9 and Grade 12 Excellent Student Competition and 60 students with products winning First and Second Prizes in the Provincial Science and Technology Competition were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial People's Committee; 19 teachers with achievements in training excellent students to win National prizes in the 2023-2024 school year were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Department of Education and Training.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Y Ngoc acknowledged, praised and deeply expressed gratitude for the great contributions of the team of teachers and educational managers of the province; students who achieved results in excellent student competitions and congratulated the achievements of the education and training sector in the 2023-2024 school year.
He hoped that in the coming school year, the provincial Department of Education and Training would continue to promote the effective implementation of Resolution No. 29-NQ/TW on fundamental and comprehensive innovation in education and training; continue to effectively implement resolutions, projects and policies of the Central Government and the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee on the field of education and training, human resource development; research and propose to competent authorities on policies for education, including policies for specialized schools, ethnic minority areas, and policies for teachers; continue to build and improve the quality of the teaching staff and educational managers; strive to attract, train and foster many cadres and teachers with good expertise, enthusiasm and responsibility for the profession; innovate methods of detecting, selecting and nurturing excellent students to continuously improve the results of excellent student exams, especially national excellent students; Continue to rationalize the scale, invest in facilities and equipment in a synchronous manner, meeting teaching and learning requirements; build national standard schools associated with new rural construction, especially the system of ethnic boarding schools and semi-boarding schools.
At the ceremony, a number of units and businesses awarded scholarships to 50 ethnic minority students who won high prizes in provincial competitions.
