Mau Son is a high mountainous area located in the Northeast of Lang Son province. This is the residential area of the Tay, Nung, Kinh, Dao, San Chi ethnic groups... including the Dao Lu Gang community with many unique cultural features. Among the customs of this ethnic group, there is still a very special and unique ritual called the coming-of-age ceremony. If a Dao man has not undergone this ceremony, even at an old age, he is still considered a child. Therefore, for generations, the coming-of-age ceremony has played an important role in the lives of the Dao Lu Gang people.
