Coming of age ceremony of the Dao Lu Gang people

Mau Son is a high mountainous area located in the Northeast of Lang Son province. Among the customs of this ethnic group, there is still a very special and unique ritual called the coming-of-age ceremony. If a Dao man has not undergone this ceremony, even at an old age, he is still considered a child. Therefore, for generations, the coming-of-age ceremony has played an important role in the lives of the Dao Lu Gang people.
