The flight of the Vietnamese women's futsal team departed from Tan Son Nhat airport at 11:55, transiting in Guangzhou, before landing in Inner Mongolia at 22:55 on the same day. Before departure, the team's coaching staff finalized the official list of players participating in the tournament. The two players who left the team were Dinh Nguyen Ngoc Linh (Thai Son Nam Club, Ho Chi Minh City) and Nguyen Thi Tu Anh ( Hanoi Sports Training and Competition Center).

When arriving in China, the Vietnamese women's futsal team will have an important friendly match with the host country's women's futsal team on May 3, to review the team's strength and perfect tactics before the tournament officially begins.

At the 2025 Asian Women's Futsal Championship, the Vietnamese women's futsal team is in Group B, facing Hong Kong (4 p.m. on May 7), the Philippines (10 a.m. on May 9) and Iran (4 p.m. on May 11). The continental tournament is also the qualifying round for the 2025 Women's Futsal World Cup (held for the first time, taking place in November this year in the Philippines). Accordingly, the 3 teams with the best results (champion, runner-up and third place) of the Asian tournament will win direct tickets to the World Cup.

Sharing before departure, head coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang affirmed: "The goal of the whole team is to try to win a place at the World Cup, but first we will focus on getting through the group stage to have appropriate calculations for the bigger goal". The coaching staff also said that the players are currently in good health and ready to enter the tournament.

Previously, on the afternoon of April 30, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), VFF Vice President Tran Anh Tu met and encouraged the Vietnamese women's futsal team before leaving for the 2025 Asian Women's Futsal Championship. Vice President Tran Anh Tu shared his proud feelings about the historic journey of the Vietnamese men's futsal team when they won a ticket to the World Cup for the first time. He emphasized: "To achieve great achievements, determination is a prerequisite. The Asian tournament has a different scale and pressure compared to regional tournaments, so the team needs to maintain a strong mentality and compete with the highest will."
