In recent years, Dak Nong agricultural production has achieved many remarkable achievements, making important contributions to the socio -economic development of the province.
However, according to the assessment of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, agricultural production of the people is still fragmented and small-scale. Most farmers cultivate based on experience, lack linkages in the value chain, and have difficulty accessing large markets.

Faced with that reality, Dak Nong's agricultural sector has implemented solutions to promote production, build models of linking production and consumption value chains, contributing to improving production efficiency and increasing people's income.
In 2024, from the capital of the Central Agricultural Extension Project, Ms. Tran Thi Ngoan's family in Thuan Thanh village, Thuan Hanh commune, Dak Song district (Dak Nong) was supported with agricultural materials to grow cabbage according to VietGAP standards associated with product consumption.
According to Ms. Ngoan, although during the production process, the rainy weather slowed down the growth and development process, Ms. Ngoan's more than 0.5 hectares of cabbage is expected to reach 20 tons, with the rate of grade 1 products reaching over 90%.
Ms. Ngoan said: “Participating in the project, we are supported by the State with 70% of input costs such as seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides. The family contributes the remaining 30%. Thanks to the production linkage, we are always assured because we do not have to worry about unstable market prices.”

Mr. Do Khac Thang's family in Quang Son commune, Dak Glong district participates in the model of growing carrots according to VietGAP standards associated with product consumption linkage, with an area of over 5 sao.
Thanks to his mastery of the technical process, Mr. Thang's carrot yield is about 18-20 tons/5 sao. After deducting expenses, his family earns more than 150 million VND.
Mr. Thang said: “My family has specialized in producing vegetables and tubers for many years. Participating in this model, I feel secure because the product selling price is signed from the beginning, farmers are guaranteed to make a profit.”

According to farmers, participating in the VietGAP production model associated with product consumption linkage, they can attend training courses and receive basic knowledge about farm management.
Thereby, people are provided with information about market demand, prices, and quality standards quickly and accurately.
Especially the accounting of production costs for seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, labor, expected productivity... From there, farmers can anticipate the cost and profit to compensate for the effort and risks of the whole crop.
Therefore, when having full information about the market, people will have the basis to make the right production decisions, avoiding blind investment, leading to losses.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Chuong, Director of the Agricultural Extension Center - Agricultural and Forestry Seeds of Dak Nong province, from 2020 to now, the Center has implemented many agricultural extension activities, helping to change people's production thinking. In particular, special attention is paid to the output linkage model for products.
In the past, the Center has successfully implemented a number of models such as growing durian in Dak R'lap, cabbage in Quang Son commune, Dak Glong district... currently, the cabbage model is in Thuan Hanh commune and carrots in Quang Son commune.
“The models all have close links between inputs such as seeds, agricultural materials and especially ensure stable output for farmers. When the output of the product is signed, farmers are assured because they know the profit. Therefore, people mainly focus on taking care of the product according to the process,” Mr. Chuong added.
