The schools that received water filtration systems from Lifestart Foundation this time are mainly located in the three districts of Phuoc Son, Que Son and Thang Binh.
Of which, Phuoc Son district has 6 schools benefiting, including Chanh Cong Inter-commune Kindergarten (main point of Phuoc Chanh commune); Chanh Cong Inter-commune Kindergarten (Phuoc Cong point, Phuoc Cong commune); Kim Dong Primary and Secondary School (village 2 point of Phuoc Duc commune); Vo Thi Sau Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities (PTDTBT) (Phuoc Xuan commune); Phuoc Loc Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities (Phuoc Loc commune); Phuoc My Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities (Phuoc My commune). These are 6 schools with the majority of Gie Trieng ethnic minority students and are located in areas with economic and social difficulties.
In addition, 3 schools in Que Son district were also awarded water filtration systems, including Que An Kindergarten (Que An commune); Que Xuan 1 Primary School (Xuan Phu point, Que Xuan 1 commune); Que Long Secondary School (Que Long commune) and Nguyen Duy Hieu Secondary School (Binh Dinh Bac commune, Thang Binh district).

These systems ensure the supply of clean water that meets the Ministry of Health 's QCVN 6-1:2010/BYT standards for drinking water directly from the tap (the highest national standard for drinking water today). In particular, each water filtration system has the capacity to filter up to 250 liters per hour, helping to remove bacteria, viruses, heavy metals and other toxic impurities. The value of each water filtration system is up to 66.4 million VND.
In addition, the systems are also equipped with 500-liter stainless steel tanks, ensuring sufficient clean water supply for the daily needs of students and schools. The total cost of this installation exceeds 472 million VND (over 19,500 USD).
With the completion of the installation of 10 new water filtration systems, more than 2,200 students and teachers and staff of the schools will directly benefit from this program.
Ms. Karen Leonard, founder of Lifestart Foundation, shared that the lack of clean drinking water in schools, especially boarding schools in remote areas, has been seriously affecting the health and daily activities of students and teachers. Therefore, through the installation of water filtration systems, Lifestart Foundation hopes to improve the health andeducational environment so that teachers and students can feel secure in teaching and learning in a safe and healthy environment.

At the same time, Lifestart Foundation pledges to continue to provide positive and sustainable changes to disadvantaged communities in Central Vietnam, especially children in remote areas. It is expected that in the near future, the organization will sponsor 10 more water filtration systems for schools in mountainous districts of Quang Nam province, bringing the total number of supported schools to 58.
Since launching the school clean water program in 2021, Lifestart Foundation has so far sponsored a total of 48 water filtration systems for disadvantaged schools in Quang Nam, worth more than VND2.2 billion (US$90,000), bringing the total number of direct beneficiaries to more than 12,400.
