Responding to the program "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses", the Military Command of communes in Song Ma district mobilized militia forces to support and help households speed up the construction of houses for poor households, contributing to the elimination of 96/96 temporary and dilapidated houses in the district.

Mr. Lo Van Khun's family in Sai village, Muong Sai commune has long lived in a rickety wooden house with a leaky roof. In early 2025, with the State's support of 60 million VND from the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, along with the joint efforts of the community, especially the help of the commune's militia in digging foundations, transporting materials and building houses, Mr. Khun's family has a solid house. Mr. Khun shared: Every day, 5 militia soldiers directly help the family build the house, after only two weeks, my family's house was completed and put into use. They are not only a solid support in maintaining peace in the village, but are also always ready to help when people need it.

Mr. Lo Van Thuy, Commander of the Military Command of Muong Sai Commune, said: Since the beginning of the year, the Military Command of the Commune has mobilized militia forces to help with 52 working days to build 13 houses for households in Sai, Nong Pha, and Long Lot villages.

In Muong Cai commune, there are 8 households in need of removing temporary and dilapidated houses. The commune's Military Command mobilized militia forces to support. With a sense of responsibility, considering helping people as their family's work, the soldiers actively participated. Mr. Lo Van Thuan, Deputy Commander of the Commune Military Command, said: The militia forces in the commune participated in 36 working days to complete the removal of 8 temporary and dilapidated houses; contributed 4.5 million VND for households to buy more materials to build houses.

Up to now, the Military Command of Song Ma district has mobilized more than 1,000 militia soldiers to participate in supporting the removal of 96 temporary and dilapidated houses; contributing over 80 million VND to support households in building houses. Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Van Nghia, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of Song Ma district Military Command, said: The district Military Command directed the Military Command of communes to coordinate with local Party committees and authorities to make a list of families in need of support, mobilize militia forces to directly participate in moving belongings, dismantling temporary houses, transporting materials, digging foundations, leveling the ground, cleaning the environment, building new houses, and repairing houses. Proactively providing necessary means and equipment to serve the construction of houses for policy families in the area.
