The sacred festival of Xa Tac Temple at the northernmost point of the Fatherland - Part 1

Xa Tac Temple is considered a solid "cultural-spiritual landmark" in the border area. The annual festival is a way for people to affirm their territorial sovereignty, preserve and promote national cultural identity.

Xa Tac Temple is located in a particularly important location: Ka Long ward, Mong Cai city, Quang Ninh province , right next to the Ka Long river junction, bordering Vietnam - China. Xa Tac Temple Festival usually takes place at the end of the first lunar month with many unique and sacred rituals:

• Water Supply Ceremony: The ritual of taking water from the Soai Nguon junction - the confluence of the Ka Long River and other branches of the river, and bringing it to the temple to perform the Moc Duc ceremony (bathing the statue). This is a ritual with the meaning of praying for luck and prosperity for the people.
• God Procession: The God procession travels through the main streets of Mong Cai city, attracting a large number of people and tourists to participate.
• Xa Tac worship ceremony: The main ritual to pray for national peace and prosperity, favorable weather, and good crops.
