Tornado causes roofs to be blown off more than 30 houses in Ha Tinh

A strong tornado swept through Trung Tien village (Cam Trung commune, Cam Xuyen district, Ha Tinh province), causing more than 30 houses to have their roofs blown off or be damaged, one of which was severely damaged.

On the morning of June 13, Mr. Nguyen Van Tien, Chairman of the People's Committee of Cam Trung Commune (Cam Xuyen District, Ha Tinh Province) said that on the evening of June 12, a strong tornado occurred in the area, causing many houses to have their roofs blown off and damaged.

According to initial information, at the above time, in Trung Tien village (Cam Trung commune) there was moderate rain, then suddenly a strong tornado swept through and lasted for about 1 minute.

According to initial statistics, the strong tornado caused more than 30 houses to have their roofs blown off, damaged, and many other auxiliary structures were affected. In addition, many people's properties in the houses were also damaged.

Notably, among more than 30 houses with damaged or blown-off roofs, there was a level four house, made of wooden frame, owned by Ms. Cao Thi Thanh (born in 1938, wife of a martyr), whose entire corrugated iron roof system, cement tile roof, and corrugated iron sheets used as surrounding walls were blown away by the tornado.

Luckily, at that time, when she saw the strong wind, Ms. Thanh just went outside the house and escaped.

Immediately after the incident, on the evening of June 12 and the morning of June 13, local authorities mobilized local forces, organizations, and villages to support and help people clean up their belongings and repair damaged houses.
