This is a practical activity to celebrate the 76th anniversary of Uncle Ho's call for patriotic emulation (June 11, 1948 - June 11, 2024) organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Culture Newspaper in coordination with relevant units.

Attending the program were Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien; Party Central Committee members: Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung; Editor-in-Chief of Communist Magazine Le Hai Binh; Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union , Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association Nguyen Minh Triet; Deputy General Director of Vietnam News Agency Doan Thi Tuyet Nhung and representatives of leaders of central and local departments, ministries, branches, and a large public.

Speaking at the program, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Trinh Thi Thuy stated: 76 years have passed, but His Call for Patriotic Emulation has always retained its profound theoretical and practical values, urging the spirit of patriotic emulation in every Vietnamese citizen. President Ho Chi Minh cherished the simplest things to summarize many profound and broad issues of the nation's thoughts, souls, feelings, beliefs, will and actions. The idea of patriotic emulation in His Call at every stage of development of the nation's history is always hotly topical, always needs to be thoroughly understood, studied and practiced extensively.

The Call for Patriotic Emulation is a historical document containing valuable instructions, of profound theoretical and practical value for the patriotic emulation movement of the entire nation. Imbued with Uncle Ho's Call, the patriotic emulation movement was organized widely and continuously, becoming a vibrant revolutionary movement, contributing to encouraging and motivating compatriots and soldiers nationwide to unite, strive to overcome all difficulties, join hands and create great victories in the nation's resistance wars, the work of building and defending the Fatherland. Those emulation movements have created great material and spiritual strength, promoted the potential and strengths of the entire country, and contributed to the successful implementation of the political tasks of each revolutionary stage. From the emulation movements, many typical, advanced and outstanding examples have emerged in all fields.

“Vietnam - Aspiration to Reach Far” is an art program with profound political significance. The profound flow of music nurtures generations of Vietnamese people, especially the young generation, in patriotism and the spirit of national solidarity, arousing aspirations and dedication, contributing to creating breakthrough developments in the process of national construction, innovation, and deep international integration.

Deputy Minister Trinh Thi Thuy emphasized: Through the program, songs and melodies that have been with us for a long time will be performed by famous artists. We will look back at the historical milestone 76 years ago, when He issued the Call for Patriotic Emulation and the changes of the country today, to arouse national pride, self-esteem, heroic spirit, the will to be self-reliant, and compete to build Vietnam to be stronger, more prosperous, and happier, under the leadership of the Party.

“Vietnam - Aspiration to Reach Far” includes 3 contents: “The One Who Seeks the Shape of the Country”, “A Call for Patriotism”, “Building and Constructing the Fatherland”, creating an artistic space with many levels of emotions whose source is love for the homeland, aspiration to contribute, gratitude, and affection for beloved Uncle Ho.

In the program, the public enjoyed many songs and melodies that have been with us for many years, praising the love for the Fatherland and the spirit of dedication, volunteering to fight and build the country such as "The Country's Lullaby - The Melody of the Fatherland"; "Footprints Ahead"; "From Lotus Village"; "The South Forever Remembers Your Grace"; "The One Who Searches for the Shape of the Country"; "Harvest Days"; "Fire and Smoke in Binh Tri Thien"; "The Road We Take"... Along with that were documentary films about the National Resistance War - A Great Turning Point of the Vietnamese Revolution.

As a young singer performing in the program, singer Ha My shared: This meaningful program aims to pay tribute to the generations of fathers and brothers who put aside their personal affairs and sacrificed their youth to fight for independence and freedom for the nation. From then on, today's young generation can live in peace, strive to study, strive, compete, be creative, and respond to Uncle Ho's Call for Patriotic Emulation.
