TPO – The early exploitation of the section of Beltway 3 through Long An will help the locality connect directly with the CT1 Expressway and the starting point of the Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway, bringing about traffic efficiency and socio-economic development.
Mr. Tran Thien Truc, Deputy Director of the Long An Department of Transport (GT-VT), said that it is expected that by the end of 2024, the roadbed will be completed, the sand and weak soil will be treated, and the crushed stone will be mixed... under the XL1 package.
For the bridge project, the girder support will be completed and part of the bridge surfaces will be poured. The branch roads will also have the basic reinforcement of the K98 sand base layer to carry out the construction of aggregate and crushed stone.

According to the representative of the Department of Transport, the progress of Component Project 7 - Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 section through Long An with the 3 above mentioned packages up to this point has reached about 35%.
Since the beginning of 2024, the People's Committee of Long An province has allocated 768,757 billion VND for component project 7, and has so far disbursed over 533 billion VND, reaching more than 69% of the plan.
Regarding Component 8 Project, Mr. Truc said that the clearance and resettlement phase currently has 6 households that have agreed to relocate. However, the locality is waiting for the handover of resettlement land and these households do not affect the project's progress. "The progress of the Ring Road 3 section through Long An is currently very positive," Mr. Truc assessed.
Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3, the section passing through Long An province, is scheduled to be put into use in early 2026 with 8 expressway lanes and a design speed of 100km/h. Long An's goal is to put the entire main expressway route into use before October 2025.
At the XL2 package, the construction of the bridge, the main expressway route, the left branch parallel route and the parallel road from Provincial Road 830C to the intersection - Ring Road 3 through Long An province has completed nearly 40% of the required progress.
Of which, Tan Buu bridge has completed all the construction of bored piles and pier bases. Up to now, the contractor has accelerated the progress of casting the cap beams and has installed the super T girder of Tan Buu overpass for 2/35 spans.

According to Mr. Nguyen Duc Phuong, Head of Construction Engineering of IDICO Petroleum Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company, some works such as filling sand K95 road at the bridgehead of M1 and M2; filling sand on parallel roads as well as constructing parallel routes have also reached nearly 38% of the plan.
For the XL3 package, the main route has been filled with sand for 305/708m, the branch route has been filled with K95 sand for more than 3,361/3,563m... preparing to move on to trial construction of filling with K98 sand, grading crushed stone and polishing the road surface.

The overpass across Ring Road 3 has installed 3/6 super T girder spans. The installation of the remaining girder sections is expected to be completed by the end of July 2024.
Mr. Pham Van Loi, Technical Manager of Trung Thanh Construction Company, the main contractor of the XL3 package, said that the progress of the XL3 package has basically reached over 42% of the plan. The contractor and the joint venture units are taking advantage of favorable weather conditions with little rain to speed up the progress.
The Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project, the section through Long An province, is 6.84km long and passes through Ben Luc district with a total investment of more than 3,000 billion VND. After exactly 1 year of construction, the entire project has completed over 35% of the progress, many items are two months ahead of schedule. In particular, the overpass connecting to the Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway is expected to be technically open to traffic in October 2024.
