Customers who currently own chip-embedded Citizen ID cards or ID cards (issued from July 1, 2024 according to the new standards of the Ministry of Public Security ) that are still valid need to compare their identity documents and biometric information on the LPBank application or at the bank's transaction counters nationwide. In case the citizen ID card, ID card, identity card, passport or equivalent documents that the customer provided to the bank when opening an account have changed or have expired, LPBank recommends that customers update their new identity documents on the LPBank application or at branches and transaction offices nationwide. According to LPBank's representative, adding biometric information is a necessary condition to register for online services, increase security and ensure the best interests of customers. Therefore, all biometric comparison and update information is strictly implemented by LPBank in accordance with Decision 2345 of the State Bank, Circular 17 on opening and using payment accounts and Circular 18/2024/TT-NHNN on bank card activities.
