On July 3, Mr. Vo Thanh Tung, principal of the University of Science - Hue University, confirmed that the school had completed and sent the conclusion of the council to re-evaluate the doctoral thesis determined to be plagiarized by Ms. Le Thi An Hoa (head of the scientific research department of the Hue Monuments Conservation Center).

Accordingly, recently information appeared online regarding the conclusion of the re-evaluation of Ms. Le Thi An Hoa's doctoral thesis, although previously, a representative of Hue University said that they could not provide this conclusion and were waiting for the opinion of the Ministry of Education and Training .

Mr. Tung confirmed that the information about the re-evaluation conclusion appearing online is correct.

According to the conclusion, on May 22, the thesis re-evaluation council held a meeting at Hue University of Sciences.

The meeting was attended by 8 members (6 members of the council, 1 secretary and the chairman of the council).

A member of the thesis review board was absent due to a business trip abroad.

The council chairman asked the members to discuss on the basis of the doctoral thesis to review and give their opinions on approval or disapproval.

After discussion, 5/6 council members believed that if the part identified as plagiarism was removed, the thesis would still have scientific significance in chapters 2 and 3.

These five members all acknowledged that after eliminating the plagiarized part, Ms. Hoa's doctoral thesis achieved an average score of 55-60%, demonstrating the researcher's contributions, and agreed to approve the thesis with the requirement that the researcher research and revise it.

The remaining members of the council did not agree to approve Ms. Hoa's doctoral thesis.

After consultation, the review board passed a resolution in which 5/6 members of the board agreed to approve the above thesis with the requirement that the doctoral student revise and supplement it according to the board's opinion. The remaining members did not agree to approve it.

According to Mr. Tung, after completing the conclusion, the school sent the above content to Hue University according to the correct authority. Currently, the school is still waiting for Hue University and the Ministry of Education and Training to have further handling directions.
