Good at one thing, know many things

The information department at the provincial Culture, Sports and Physical Training Centers has an average of 4 to 8 people, including editors, reporters, announcers and technicians. The small number of staff, and the task of carrying out propaganda and reporting on the activities of local agencies, departments and branches are significant challenges for journalists at the Culture, Sports and Physical Training Centers.

To improve the quality of news articles and local radio and television programs, the press teams of the Culture, Sports and Physical Training Centers regularly promote creativity and diversify forms of propaganda.

The centers not only build local radio programs but also build their own fan pages to regularly update current news to the public. But it is in these difficulties and hardships that the journalism team at the provincial Culture, Sports and Physical Training Centers has been trained to become more versatile, when they have to write scripts, film, edit, lead the scene and be a radio announcer... Some units even use technicians as cameramen, with the motto "one person is good at one thing but must know many things".

Keep the passion for the job

With a love for the profession, journalists at the provincial Culture, Sports and Physical Training Centers have gone everywhere to exploit the most useful information. To improve their professional qualifications, the team of journalists at the centers always have to learn, cultivate professional knowledge, and improve their understanding to have quality journalistic works to collaborate with media agencies and newspapers in the province and in the country.

The impression of journalists working at the Culture, Sports and Physical Training Centers in the province is that they are multi-talented, passionate about their jobs, not afraid of difficulties, close to the grassroots, promptly reflecting the aspirations of the people to the Party and authorities at all levels. In her field of work as a broadcaster and editor, Ms. Nguyen Thi My Hang, Culture, Sports and Physical Training Center of Vinh Linh district shared: “As a communications officer at the district-level radio station, I always strive to improve my expertise and professionalism.

During my work, I always try to be flexible in finding topics and deploying information in a new and creative approach. Besides improving my writing skills, I also gradually improve my reading and presentation skills in all conditions.

Ms. My Hang is one of the announcers with a warm, emotional voice that attracts the attention of listeners. “The voice is only a part of talent, the rest is due to regular practice. With passion and love for the job, I have done my role very well for the audience,” Ms. Hang shared.

According to reporter Van Tien, Dakrong District Culture, Sports and Tourism Center, to be a journalist, we must actively go to the grassroots and penetrate reality to have authentic works. Each work that is well received by the people is a source of encouragement for us to strive harder.

“Working in mountainous districts has many difficulties, especially during the dangerous flood season. When the flood season comes, people try to evacuate safely, and reporters in mountainous areas must always be present in vulnerable areas to promptly report the situation and warn people to stay safe. This information has become a bridge for organizations and individuals to support people affected by floods, helping them ease their difficulties in life. That is also a source of encouragement for me to contribute and do useful work for society,” Van Tien shared.

Keep up with the trend of professional journalism

Commenting on the effectiveness of information and propaganda work in Dong Ha City, Ms. Le Thi Anh Dao, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Dong Ha City People's Council said: We highly appreciate the effectiveness of communication work of the City's Center for Culture, Sports and Physical Training.

Over the years, the communication department of the Dong Ha City Center for Culture, Sports and Tourism has closely followed the local political tasks to do a good job of communication. Actively and proactively coordinate with agencies, units and localities to provide accurate and timely information on political, economic, cultural - social, national defense - security activities in the city. Innovate the form and approach to information to improve the quality of propaganda work, especially on holidays and events of the homeland and country.

Mr. Hoang Ngoc Sy, Permanent Vice President of the Quang Tri Provincial Journalists Association, said that up to now, 23 officials working as editors, reporters, and announcers at the Cultural, Sports and Physical Training Centers in the province have been granted membership cards. Of these, 8 people have been granted journalist cards by the Vietnam Journalists Association . By participating in the association, journalists at the Cultural, Sports and Physical Training Centers in the province have the opportunity to learn and exchange professional expertise with professional journalists, thereby contributing to improving the quality of journalistic works.

“We consider the current technological development to be a decisive factor in developing journalism and media work in the province. Therefore, every year, the Quang Tri Provincial Journalists Association coordinates with the Center for Journalism Training - Vietnam Journalists Association to organize 2-3 courses for reporters working in the field of journalism and media in the province. These courses contribute to supplementing knowledge and skills for local journalists to apply in practice,” Mr. Sy added.

Currently, propaganda work on streamlining the apparatus, two-level government, and party congresses at all levels is taking place. How to innovate and improve the attractiveness and persuasiveness of propaganda articles is of interest to local leaders and journalists at district stations. Despite difficulties, each reporter, editor, announcer, and technician of the provincial Culture, Sports and Physical Training Centers is always dedicated, enthusiastic, and makes efforts in the chosen profession, fulfilling the responsibility of a soldier on the ideological and cultural front of the Party.

At the same time, the staff, reporters and technicians at the Culture, Sports and Tourism centers hope to receive more attention and facilitation from all levels and sectors to have a more favorable working environment, bringing higher work efficiency.
