For many years, Mr. Hoang Van Duoc's family in Coc Sau hamlet, Ban Chau village, Luong Nang commune has been classified as poor or near-poor. In September 2024, prolonged storms caused large cracks to appear on the high hill behind Mr. Duoc's house, posing a very high risk of landslides. Mr. Duoc said: Immediately after discovering the danger, my family, relatives, and commune officials worked together to move the stilt house frame to a safer location. At the same time, with the State's support of 60 million VND and savings, my family completed a new house with a total value of over 100 million VND. Moving to a safer new place, my family is more secure to focus on economic development and stabilize our lives.
Like Mr. Duoc's family, immediately after discovering a dangerous crack on the hill next to their house, with the support of the local government, in September 2024, Mr. Hoang Van Toan's family in Coc Sau hamlet set up a temporary tent in a safe location to live.
