Meeting Private Hoang Truong An (a soldier of Company 6, Battalion 2) working hard on the training ground, we clearly felt the maturity and determination in An's eyes. Private Hoang Truong An shared: "In the first days of military service, I was confused and even encountered many difficulties in the disciplined environment and the regimented lifestyle. Thanks to the dedicated guidance of the commanders and the warm encouragement from my teammates, I tried my best, gradually got used to it and gradually became confident."

Soldiers of Company 6, Battalion 2, Brigade 406 actively practice, ready for the "3 explosions" test.

The maturity of young soldiers like Hoang Truong An cannot be achieved without the role of dedicated officers. Senior Lieutenant Bang Van Tinh, Platoon Leader of Platoon 4, Company 6, Battalion 2, who has experience in managing and training new soldiers (CSM), shared: “Training CSM is a process that requires patience, meticulousness and high responsibility. CSM comrades are like blank pages, carrying youthful enthusiasm but also inevitably bewildered when entering the military environment. Our mission is to draw the first strokes, shaping the image of a soldier who is always ready to receive and excellently complete all assigned tasks, regardless of conditions or circumstances.”

It is known that in order for those "strokes" to be accurate and effective, Senior Lieutenant Bang Van Tinh always thoroughly follows the method of "holding hands to show how to do things" and "learning goes hand in hand with practice". He always focuses on demonstrating standard movements, thoroughly explaining the theory, analyzing the movements, then dividing them into groups to guide and train each soldier. Not only that, he also attaches special importance to creating a healthy competitive environment, encouraging the spirit of learning and a sense of discipline.

“Our unit always focuses on building a healthy competitive environment by publicizing training results, practicing, implementing policies; objectively evaluating, promptly praising individuals and groups with good achievements. The form of reward can be words of praise, encouragement in front of the whole unit, or small rewards to encourage the spirit. At the same time, we also assign comrades with good training results to directly accompany and help comrades who are still facing difficulties. It is this sharing and mutual help that creates the strength of solidarity, helping CSMs strive to complete their tasks well,” Senior Lieutenant Bang Van Tinh shared his experience.

For Private Vu Truong Duong (a soldier of Company 4, Battalion 2), nearly 3 months of "sweat on the training ground" was truly a big turning point. Duong's face now no longer has the naive, bewildered look of his first days in the army, but instead is strong and confident. Sharing after the training, Private Vu Truong Duong said: "During the training process, we always received close attention from commanders at all levels. The officers are not only the ones who impart knowledge and skills, but also our brothers and friends, always wholeheartedly instructing, encouraging, and creating the best conditions for us to study and practice. That close attention has given me confidence and the highest determination. I believe that, with careful preparation and the spirit of solidarity and efforts of the whole unit, we will achieve excellent results in the upcoming "3 explosions" test."

We learned that, in order to successfully complete the CSM training mission in general and the “3-explosion” test in particular, Brigade 406 has developed a detailed, scientific training plan, closely following the motto “basic, practical, solid”. The training content is divided into small parts, focusing on the key movements, shooting techniques, grenade throwing and explosives. The unit also strengthens training in harsh weather conditions to improve the adaptability of officers and soldiers.

This year, Brigade 406 also focused on encouraging the soldiers' spirit and launched many movements and exciting emulation campaigns associated with the "3-explosion" inspection and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, thereby creating a strong driving force, arousing pride and high determination throughout the unit.

Lieutenant Colonel Vu Ngoc Hung, Brigade Commander of Brigade 406, said: “The unit focuses on informing officers and CSMs that the “3 explosions” test has a particularly important meaning, demonstrating the results of the first training phase, serving as a basis for performing well in the next training phase and an opportunity for CSMs to demonstrate their maturity. We believe that, with high determination and careful preparation, officers and soldiers of the Brigade will excellently complete their tasks, achieving the highest achievements to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.”
