This is one of the activities within the framework of the Hanoi Creative Design Festival 2023.
The Vietnamese Village Temple Club will organize an event of wearing Ao Dai and cycling through Hanoi's heritage route.
The experience of wearing Ao Dai and cycling on Hanoi's heritage roads will be organized by the Vietnamese Village Communal House Club on the morning of November 18, aiming to convey the message of a dynamic, creative, peaceful, elegant, friendly Hanoi rich in traditional cultural identity.
According to the head of the Vietnamese Village Communal House Club, artist Nguyen Duc Binh, the activity of wearing traditional Ao Dai and cycling through the streets bearing the cultural and historical imprints of the capital will be one of the highlights to spread traditional values, while also contributing to attracting people and tourists to participate in the festival. In particular, the cycling group will cross Long Bien Bridge, a historical witness recording the ups and downs of Hanoi over the past century.
The event is expected to attract 150 participants. In addition to members of the Vietnamese Village Communal House Club from various localities, there will also be members of the Friends of Vietnam Heritage, who are international guests living and working in Hanoi. People who want to participate can register through the club.
According to the schedule, the convoy will depart from Hang Dau flower garden and continue along the route: Hang Dau - Long Bien bridge - Ngoc Thuy dike - Ly Son street - Nguyen Van Cu street - Gia Lam railway factory. Then, the convoy will return through O Quan Chuong - Hang Chieu - Dong Xuan - Hang Giay.
Previously, the activity of wearing Ao Dai and cycling on heritage and tourist streets of Hanoi was organized by the Vietnamese Village Communal House Club in coordination with the Department of Tourism and many other organizations in recent events, leaving many good impressions on locals and tourists.
