Closing episode 157 of the program "Vietnamese Family Home" hosted by MC Thanh Thao, two guests, actor Thai Vu and streamer MisThy, joined hands to support children to overcome challenges and bring home valuable rewards from Hoa Sen Group .
Nguyen Thi My Chau (born in 2015), a 5th grade student at Truong Long A3 Primary School, is one of three people who made many people cry because of her life lacking both material and spiritual things.

My Chau's small, thin figure always tries to help her grandparents with housework.
My Chau currently lives with her grandparents in Truong Long commune, Can Tho city. In the past, her mother went to work in Ho Chi Minh City and met her father. When My Chau was very young, her father left, and her mother took her back to the countryside to live with her grandparents. When she was just two years old, her mother passed away due to congenital heart disease and severe leukemia. Since childhood, My Chau has not known who her father is, nor has she had any information about her paternal family.
Chau’s grandmother, Tran Thi Hien (born in 1972), has a congenital heart disease, so her health is currently very weak. She had two stents placed to sustain her life and now has to take heart medication that costs about 800,000 VND per month. Without medication, she often has difficulty breathing and sharp pain in the heart area.
Grandfather Nguyen Hong Hai (born in 1971) also suffered from cirrhosis of the liver and was in poor health, so he could only work for hire around the neighborhood. His main job was weeding and pruning fruit trees, earning about 200,000 VND per day but not stable. The family had a small garden growing durian, but because the land was low and often flooded, many trees died and could not be harvested.

The moment that made the whole studio silent – My Chau burst into tears as she said, “I'm afraid that one day my grandparents will no longer be with me.”
My Chau’s uncle, Nguyen Vu Luan (born in 1997), also has congenital heart disease and works as a construction worker earning about 300,000 VND per day. However, due to his illness, he can only work when his health permits. When he is sick, he has to stay home and has no income.
The house where the family lives is dilapidated, with a leaky roof and peeling walls. To save money, people often collect dry firewood around the house to cook. My Chau is a hard-working girl, dreaming of becoming a teacher to teach children. Every month, she receives an orphanage allowance of 750,000 VND and always saves to help her grandmother cover living expenses and buy books for school. Every year, My Chau tries to study well to get certificates of merit, making her grandparents feel secure.
Because meals usually consist of only rice and vegetables, and occasionally fish, My Chau is very thin, weighing only about 23kg, small in stature compared to her peers. Now, what worries her most is her grandparents' health. "I'm afraid that one day my grandparents will no longer be with me. I'm afraid of being orphaned again because of losing my grandparents. I want to grow up quickly to take care of my grandparents, not to let them suffer anymore," My Chau said, choking up.

Despite the rain, a large audience still stayed at the studio to cheer on the show, interact with the artists and especially donate to support those in need.
MC Thanh Thao was moved and choked up when sharing about the situation of little My Chau - a little girl who was too young but had to live without the love of both her father and mother, only knowing how to rely on her grandparents. What made the MC even more heartbroken was that despite suffering many disadvantages, My Chau was very understanding. She had never felt love from her father, but she did not blame him and always kept in her heart the love for him.
When asked by MC Thanh Thao what kind of person she imagined her father to be, My Chau replied: “I think my father is a hero. I am not angry with him, because he is my father after all. To me, parents are to be loved, so I love them very much. When I see my friends with their parents by their side, I feel very sad. I miss my mother very much.”

Nguyen Thi My Chau's family won first prize.
The orphan girl’s words and thoughts made MC Thanh Thao and MisThy burst into tears. Actor Thai Vu was also silent, both heartbroken and impressed by My Chau’s maturity and filial piety.
Seeing her plight, actor Thai Vu decided to support My Chau’s family with the cost of building a toilet so that she and her grandparents could have better living conditions. Meanwhile, streamer MisThy sponsored the cost of buying school supplies for her until she turned 18.

Nguyen Cong Hau's family came in second and Vo Thi Nhu Quynh's family came in third.
At the end of the competition, Vo Thi Nhu Quynh's family came in third place, receiving a prize of 17 million VND. Nguyen Cong Hau came in second place, receiving 22 million VND. Nguyen Thi My Chau's family won first place, overcoming a special challenge and bringing home a total prize of 62 million VND. Thus, the total prize money given by Hoa Sen Group to families this week was 101 million VND.
In addition, MC Thanh Thao gave Nhu Quynh a new electric bicycle, hoping to make her journey to school less difficult. Donors and local people also donated money and gave meaningful gifts to the three families.
The program Vietnamese Family Home is broadcast at 7:30 p.m. every Friday on HTV7 channel. The program is produced by Bee Media Company in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh City Radio and Television Station, with the support of Hoa Sen Home Construction Materials & Interior Supermarket System (Hoa Sen Group) and Hoa Sen Plastic Pipe - Source of Happiness.
