Manchester City are close to signing Tijjani Reijnders from AC Milan. |
The Times reports that Manchester City's bid of around £59m (€70m) was accepted by the Serie A side this weekend.
Previously, the Premier League club only made an offer to buy Reijnders for around 60 million euros, and was immediately rejected by AC Milan.
The English giants want the Dutch midfielder in their squad before the FIFA Club World Cup kicks off in mid-June. Therefore, they are willing to raise the player's price to close the deal soon.
Reijnders himself has also agreed to move to Manchester City this summer, ready to open a new chapter in his career after two years with AC Milan.
