Every day, hundreds of hot meals are loaded onto Mr. Truc's family's small truck to be transported to the communes of Hoa My, Hoa Thinh, and Tay Hoa.

“We just hope that people in the flooded areas can have a hot meal and have more strength to clean up and recover after the flood. In difficult times, everyone needs to share,” said Mr. Truc.

To ensure that no one is left behind, Mr. Pham Tho Truong, head of a volunteer group in Eastern Dak Lak , has continuously mobilized pickup trucks from family and friends to support volunteer groups from all over the country to communes and wards in Eastern Dak Lak.

The groups had to divide their forces into many groups, depending on the actual situation of each hamlet to arrange appropriate vehicles.

Relief forces used various means such as basket boats and small boats to try to bring food to people.

“We contacted the local authorities directly to find out the actual situation to arrange the necessary amount of goods. In places where the water had receded and the roads were passable, the group used small trucks and pickup trucks to transport goods from large vehicles to small alleys. In the previous days, when the water had not receded, we used inflatable boats to transport food, water and necessities to each house. The biggest wish of the volunteers at this time is “not to leave anyone behind”, especially the elderly, the lonely and those with small children”, said Mr. Truong.

Although it was dark, a volunteer group of the Gia Lai tourism community came to provide relief to the eastern localities of Dak Lak.

Phu My village (Tuy An Bac commune) has 700 households, 95% of which were flooded, many families lost almost all their property. Mr. Tran Van Khoa, head of this village, said that in recent days, thanks to the timely support of the government and benefactors, people have received rice, noodles, drinking water and other urgent gifts.

“These gifts came at the right time, helping people feel more secure in the first days after the flood. We hope that benefactors will continue to support more rice and blankets so that people can soon stabilize their lives,” Mr. Khoa shared.

Amidst the hardships after the historic flood, trucks and boats filled with love still make their way day and night into every small alley. The community's cooperation has helped thousands of families in the flood-affected areas gain more confidence and motivation to start over after the disaster.
