The Xuan Lap Commune Youth Union organized a car wash to raise funds for Tet (Lunar New Year) gifts for underprivileged children in the area.
Throughout the province, the green uniforms of young volunteers are seen in many disadvantaged areas, helping to bring the Tet holiday atmosphere closer to every home.
In Tho Xuan commune, to support the poor and children with special difficulties during Tet (Lunar New Year), the commune's youth union organized programs such as "car washing for fundraising - sending love, spreading kindness"; and collecting scrap materials to raise funds for gifts. This is not just a simple charitable activity, but also a place to connect compassionate hearts, where each youth union member expresses love, responsibility, and faith in the future generation of their homeland.
According to Hoang Thi Phuong, Secretary of the Youth Union of the commune: "The activity received enthusiastic support from youth union members and was also widely supported by parents and people in the area. Many people, despite their busy schedules, still stopped by to encourage and support the program financially, joining hands to help it achieve the highest effectiveness. From small but meaningful contributions, a fund of love gradually formed, becoming a great source of encouragement for disadvantaged children during the Lunar New Year. Through this activity, we have contributed to educating the spirit of responsibility, compassion, and community awareness among each youth union member and young teacher. This is also an opportunity to promote the pioneering and volunteer role of young people in social welfare movements in the locality."
In Thieu Quang commune, understanding and sharing the difficulties and hardships faced by children lacking both material comforts and warmth, the commune's Youth Union Executive Committee, in coordination with the Youth Union branch of Thieu Hop Kindergarten, organized the "Car Wash for Fundraising" and "Loving Lucky Money Envelope" programs to raise funds for Tet (Lunar New Year) gifts and support for disadvantaged children. The gifts, though not substantial in material value, contained heartfelt care and compassion. They also served as warm New Year wishes and encouragement for the children to have more faith in life and strive for excellence in their studies and personal development.
Alongside fundraising activities like car washes and scrap collection in various localities, programs to distribute Tet gifts, scholarships, warm clothing, and school supplies to underprivileged children continue to be implemented. Spring festivities, traditional games, and Tet experiences will also be organized to help children in remote areas celebrate Tet more fully.
In Pù Nhi commune, the commune's youth union coordinated the distribution of Tet gifts to poor households and provided support to families to overcome the consequences of Typhoon No. 10 in 2025. The total value of the gifts distributed was nearly 100 million VND.
In Trung Ly commune, youth union branches coordinated to present 100 meaningful gifts to students with special and difficult circumstances in the commune, thereby contributing to encouraging their spirits and helping them have a warmer, happier, and more fulfilling Tet holiday.
In addition, the "Spring on the Border - A Warm Tet for Children" program, planned to be held in border communes with many meaningful activities such as a "zero-cost Tet fair," and the giving of gifts to families in difficult circumstances, also spreads the spirit of sharing and responsibility with the motto "leaving no one behind."
Sharing his thoughts on the significance of these activities, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Le Ngoc Anh, said: “Each activity aimed at providing Tet (Lunar New Year) support for the poor and children in particularly difficult circumstances is a way for young people to demonstrate their pioneering role, social responsibility, and contribute to spreading positive humanitarian values in the community.”
"To ensure that the volunteer program for social welfare continues to spread strongly and attract the attention of many individuals and organizations, the Provincial Youth Union will continue to promote propaganda, mobilization, and the gathering of social resources, especially resources from grassroots youth union branches and volunteer clubs, to actively participate and respond. We will also promote the implementation of movements and campaigns linked to the effective implementation of patriotic emulation movements among union members and young people," emphasized Provincial Youth Union Secretary Le Ngoc Anh.
