Marriott International takes over management of 7 Vinpearl hotels

Previously, in 2022, Marriott announced its first cooperation with Vinpearl on upgrading and developing 8 hotels. With the signing of this new enhanced cooperation, Vinpearl is expected to be Marriott's largest partner in Vietnam, with a total of 15 hotels and resorts under joint management.

Mr. Rajeev Menon, President of Marriott International Asia Pacific (excluding Greater China), emphasized: "Today's signing marks another important milestone in our cooperation with Vinpearl. We are delighted to strengthen our partnership. With a chain of new hotels located in important tourist centers such as Da Nang and Nha Trang, a resort in the famous ancient town of Hoi An and the first internationally branded 5-star hotel in Bac Ninh, we are well-positioned to meet the diverse hotel needs in many attractive destinations across Vietnam."

The pioneering values ​​that both sides are building and implementing are very compatible with each other, at the same time, the potential and global scale of the Marriott brand is also a great platform to raise international awareness for some of Vinpearl's important destinations across Vietnam."

The agreement signed between Marriott International and Vinpearl is noted as marking a number of important milestones, including the expected opening of Marriott's largest hotel in Vietnam with 829 rooms.

Vinpearl is the leading tourism - resort - entertainment brand in Vietnam, currently operating 35 hotels and resorts in 17 provinces and cities with a capacity of more than 18,500 hotel rooms and villas.

Of the 7 hotels and resorts signed this time, 3 will be converted and are expected to become part of the hotel chain system operated by Marriott by the end of this year, including:

Nha Trang Marriott Resort & Spa, Hon Tre will feature 829 rooms – 403 standard and superior rooms, plus 426 villas with two, three and four bedrooms offering garden, lake, mountain or ocean views. Guests can dine at two restaurants, experience Marriott Hotels’ signature Greatroom lounge and a poolside bar. Other amenities include three meeting rooms, two swimming pools, two tennis courts, a fitness centre and spa.

Renaissance Hoi An Resort & Spa is a dynamic, design-led resort with a transformative brand strategy, marking Marriott International’s entry into Hoi An. The resort is expected to feature 193 standard rooms and 25 villas, two restaurants, two bars, an outdoor infinity pool, spa, fitness center and two floodlit tennis courts. The transformed hotel will also include a main ballroom, two meeting rooms and an outdoor event area.

Danang Marriott Resort & Spa, Non Nuoc Beach Villas is also expected to feature a collection of spacious two, three and four bedroom pool villas, with ample indoor and outdoor space for romantic getaways and family vacations. Nestled on Non Nuoc Beach near the center of Danang, the resort also features three restaurants, a swimming pool, fitness center, Quan Spa, kids club, two tennis courts and a sports center for water sports activities.

Four new hotels with a total of more than 1,200 rooms are expected to be completed by 2028, including Bac Ninh Marriott Hotel. Bac Ninh Marriott Hotel is scheduled to open in 2026, marking the debut of Marriott International in Bac Ninh, with a prime location not far from the capital Hanoi.

The hotel’s plans include 275 standard and superior rooms, five food and beverage venues including a rooftop bar, a swimming pool, a gym and a Quan Spa. Touted as a new destination for out-of-town events, the hotel is expected to feature a 7,000-square- foot main ballroom and two additional meeting spaces.

Marriott International currently operates 16 hotels and resorts in Vietnam, with strong growth. Several exciting brands are expected to officially launch in Vietnam in the coming years, including The Ritz-Carlton, Westin, Element and Courtyard by Marriott.
