Mars Anh Tu (new stage name of artist Tu Dua) was once a member of the once famous Watermelon group with Tuan Hung, Bang Kieu, and Tuong Van.
At the age of 46, he defines himself as a versatile artist, both composing and producing music and always conscious of maintaining his image.

Mars Anh Tu has been in production for more than 10 years, especially professionally in the last 5 years when he founded two entertainment companies in Ho Chi Minh City with experienced associates.
His unit currently manages a number of young artists and participates in the production of many art programs. His two daughters Lexxy (real name Nguyen Ngan Ha) and Linh Nhi are also on the list of managed artists, but still have to comply with the regulations like everyone else.
“I am meticulous and strict in my work. My children also have their own agreements but there are no exceptions. Initially, I support the capital, but later they have to take care of it themselves and deduct the revenue according to the contract. That is what motivates them,” the male artist shared.
He also said that Lexxi is about to release a new EP (single) and has full authority to choose the team to collaborate with. “I respect my child’s musical taste. At that time, I was just an investor,” Mars Anh Tu affirmed.

Born into an artistic family, Mars Anh Tu studied trumpet at the Vietnam National Academy of Music and trained for 10 years in a professional environment. However, at the age of 16, he decided to sing and stick with this profession.
He confided: "In my singing career, I was at a disadvantage compared to my friends because I had children too early. Back then, singers had to be young, and getting married early was a big disadvantage. Our time was not like now, people with families could still develop their careers and be accepted if their music was good."
He believes that the most brilliant period of his singing career was when he was active in the Watermelon group and the 10-year period of singing at the Youth Theatre. After switching to composing, he appeared less on stage but now he has started to spend more time singing when his job is stable.
His acting experience from musicals also gives him the confidence to take on many artistic roles, although he currently prioritizes standing behind to support young artists.
Having grown up in a band, his dancing ability is still very natural. Mars Anh Tu said he is practicing again so that each time he appears, he can bring a versatile, well-prepared performance and maintain his form in front of the audience.
“What I care about most is being a career role model for my two daughters who are pursuing a singing career. I hope that when people mention Lexxi or Linh Nhi, they will remember them as independent artists, not as my children,” Mars Anh Tu expressed.
In the near future, he plans to take some shows on tour abroad, and is also planning to perform a musical, a solo live show, and organize a music festival for young people.

In middle age, Mara Anh Tu believes that men at this age are at their most beautiful and energetic. He considers that he spent his youth on flying, on music, and now he chooses to stand behind and support everyone.
“I am always serious with myself and try to maintain my form in everything from health to art. I have to be a role model for my children as well as young artists. I always believe that in art, you should never be satisfied with yourself, because when you start to be satisfied, it means you are gradually going downhill,” the male artist said.
In his creative work, he maintains a meticulous spirit. Every day, he still regularly sits at the piano and practices the trumpet to improve himself. Although busy, he always tries to maintain a balance between work and life. Mars Anh Tu said that in the morning he usually goes to the company for meetings and management, in the afternoon he spends time exercising , and on the weekend he prioritizes his family.
“I have loved sports since I was a child, especially football. I have a rule: no matter how busy I am, I must set aside 1-2 hours a day for sports,” he said.
Currently, he is in charge of running two sports playgrounds for artists, connecting people who share a passion for exercise. For Mars Anh Tu, music and football are the two biggest passions, always going hand in hand and nurturing positive energy in life.
