Artists and teachers light the fire for theater and cinema in Ho Chi Minh City
Throughout the journey of more than 50 years of honoring the teaching profession, Vietnamese Teachers' Day November 20 is not only an occasion to show gratitude to teachers in the classroom but also to remind people of the silent "seed sowers" in the performing arts.
In Ho Chi Minh City - the largest center for theater and cinema training in the country, artists working as teachers have become a spiritual support, a person who passes on the profession and passion, contributing to nurturing generations of actors, directors, and screenwriters with the creative mark of the times.
From the training courses of the University of Theater and Cinema in Ho Chi Minh City; the College of Culture and Arts in Ho Chi Minh City, to the art training centers of the stages: Ho Chi Minh City Small Stage Drama Theater, Hong Van Drama Theater, Thien Dang Theater, Quoc Thao Theater, Trinh Kim Chi Theater, Truong Hung Minh Art Theater… the image of dedicated artists and teachers is always present every day.
People's Artist Tran Minh Ngoc, a "big tree" of Vietnamese theater, despite his old age, still tirelessly imparts his vast knowledge to many generations of actors and directors. He believes: "Theater professionals must keep a clear mind, a clear head and a warm heart. This profession does not allow us to be superficial."
Meritorious Artist Ca Le Hong, an exemplary teacher of directing art, constantly reminds his students: "Innovation in thinking is the key to the survival of the theater. But innovation must be based on a traditional foundation."

Continue to inspire the desire to contribute
Looking towards Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW dated August 22, 2025 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development, artists and teachers all believe in today's young generation.
People's Artist Hong Van shared: "I hope my students will constantly cultivate and practice. The stage profession is harsh but also very beautiful. If they keep the faith, they will create new values, contributing to taking the country's art further."

Meritorious Artist Huu Chau expressed his expectations, he always told his students: study not only to act well but also to be good people. The stage needs artists with personality, responsibility to the audience and to the times.
Associate Professor Dr. Tran Yen Chi emphasized the role of innovative pedagogical methods: "Building a 'happy school' for art students means creating a learning environment that stimulates creativity, respects differences, and develops talents and qualities."
Meritorious Artist Le Nguyen Dat said: "Students today access knowledge very quickly. What they need is an open-minded approach and the ability to adapt to the constant changes of modern theater. Having gone through many national professional theater festivals, the young generation of actors in Ho Chi Minh City has achieved many proud achievements, demonstrating the spirit of learning and practicing to steadily advance on the artistic path in a major cultural center of the country."
Science , technology and innovation – new driving force for the "human cultivation" profession
Entering the digital age, art teaching is no longer just simulation, word of mouth or traditional practice. Many artists and teachers have boldly applied technology, from digital simulation of stage space, using AI in script analysis, to applying movement mapping in choreography.

Quoc Thao Theater trains many generations of young actors
People's Artist Dao Ba Son affirmed: "Cinema today cannot be trained in the old way. Students must master technology, considering technology as a tool to expand the range of creativity."
Director Quoc Thao emphasized the role of creativity in teaching: "Science helps us analyze movements and protect the actors' bodies, but it is the artistic heart that helps them create their own style. On the Quoc Thao stage, young actors all come from on-site training courses and participate in acting with professional artists, which is a great driving force for our stage."
The harmonious combination of science - technology - aesthetics has become the mainstream trend, laying a new foundation for the quality of training of future artistic human resources.
Grateful students - famous artists send wishes
On November 20, many famous artists in Ho Chi Minh City sent their deep gratitude to teachers and artists: People's Artist Trinh Kim Chi was moved: "Thanks to the teachers, I have the tools to do my job today. I hope the teachers will always be healthy to continue to guide the younger generation."

Paying tribute to the "people-growers" of the stage and cinema 43 years of Vietnamese Teachers' Day means 43 years of paying tribute to the people who quietly stand behind the lights, behind the lens, behind the applause. They are the ones who preserve identity, the ones who connect tradition with modernity, the ones who shape young souls and open up creative paths for the next generation.
"I wish all teachers - artists working in the education profession - good health and happiness, and continue to be a great support for the country's stage and cinema career" - Artist Thanh Thuy shared.
