Thanh Thuy announced very good news before SEA Games 33

After working sessions between the Vietnam Volleyball Federation and Gunma Green Wings Club, Thanh Thuy was agreed by her club to return home to join the Vietnamese women's volleyball team to prepare for the 33rd SEA Games.

Although the Japanese National Championship is still going on and Thanh Thuy is the main hitter of Gunma Green Wings, this team still has a good action by releasing the player for nearly 1 month. Right after the end of the SEA Games campaign, the main striker of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team had to return to Japan.

Tran Thi Thanh Thuy is the main hitter of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team.

With her official participation in the 33rd SEA Games, "4T" has 6 consecutive terms wearing the Vietnamese women's volleyball team jersey to compete in the Southeast Asian Games . After 10 years, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy is the most experienced and accomplished athlete in the national team. She is likely to be given the captain's armband by coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet at the SEA Games in Thailand.

It is known that not only Thanh Thuy, Tran Thi Bich Thuy will also return home from Japan in early December. With the presence of these two pillars, Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet can breathe a sigh of relief regarding personnel issues, in the context that Bich Tuyen was not called up for this training session.

The coach born in 1976 also hopes that Thanh Thuy's experience in competing in Japan will help the Vietnamese women's volleyball team achieve the best results at the 33rd SEA Games.

Aiming to win the SEA Games gold medal, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team from Quang Ninh moved to Vinh Long to practice and get used to the similar climate conditions in Thailand.

"Warming up" for the SEA Games, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will have a friendly match with national champion VTV Binh Dien Long An at 2:00 p.m. on November 21.

Doan Thi Xuan withdraws from Vietnam women's volleyball team

Due to injury, Doan Thi Xuan asked to leave the Vietnam women's volleyball team. Thus, Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet only has 19 athletes in the preliminary list (Thanh Thuy and Bich Thuy have not joined the team because they are abroad), with 2 opposite players, Kieu Trinh and Dang Thi Kim Thanh. Before the Vietnam women's volleyball team goes to Thailand to compete in the SEA Games, the official list of 14 athletes will be finalized by Coach Tuan Kiet. Indoor volleyball at the 33rd SEA Games will be competed from December 10 to December 19. The Vietnamese girls are in Group B with Myanmar, Malaysia and the Philippines.
