Personal conflict, 8th grade student was beaten with a stick by a friend and hospitalized

TPO - After a personal conflict, a group of students from Binh Thanh Dong Secondary School (Binh Thanh Dong Commune, An Giang Province) made an appointment to fight in an empty lot to resolve the dispute. During the fight, one student was hit on the head with a three-section stick and had to be hospitalized.

On October 22, the leader of the People's Committee of Binh Thanh Dong Commune, An Giang Province, said that the Commune Police are verifying the case of 3 students from Binh Thanh Dong Secondary School fighting, leaving one student injured and hospitalized for treatment.

According to initial information, at around 8am on October 18, LTGB (born in 2012, class 8A6) went to play soccer at the Binh Trung 2 hamlet field and met NMT (born in 2011, class 9A5) - who had a conflict with B. before. After playing soccer, the two made an appointment to meet at an empty lot in Binh Dong 2 hamlet to "settle the matter".

At the meeting point, while T. and B. were fighting with their bare hands, PVT (born 2011, 9A2 student) suddenly took a three-section stick and hit B. on the head and face, injuring the victim. Afterwards, the group of students left the scene. B. was taken to the emergency room by local people.

Binh Thanh Dong Commune Police have invited the students involved and their parents to work, and coordinated with the Board of Directors of Binh Thanh Dong Secondary School to clarify the cause of the incident.

The school said it had visited the injured student and invited the parents to discuss, apologize, and agree on compensation for damages. The families pledged to improve the education and management of their children, and prevent similar incidents from happening again.

Previously, a 40-second clip was circulated on social media, showing a group of students gathered in a deserted area, cheering on two male students to fight. During the fight, a student holding a stick-like object attacked one student from behind, seriously injuring him.
