TPO - Following a personal conflict, a group of students from Binh Thanh Dong Secondary School (Binh Thanh Dong commune, An Giang province) arranged to meet in an empty field to fight and settle their dispute. During the altercation, one student was struck on the head with a three-section stick by another student and had to be hospitalized for emergency treatment.

On October 22nd, leaders of the People's Committee of Binh Thanh Dong commune, An Giang province, stated that the commune's police are investigating a case involving a fight between three students from Binh Thanh Dong Secondary School, resulting in one student being injured and hospitalized.

According to initial information, at around 8:00 AM on October 18th, LTGB (born in 2012, a student in class 8A6) went to play football at the Binh Trung 2 hamlet field and met NMT (born in 2011, a student in class 9A5) - who had a previous conflict with B. After playing football, the two arranged to meet at an empty plot of land in Binh Dong 2 hamlet to "settle the matter".

At the meeting point, while T. and B. were fighting with their bare hands, PVT (born in 2011, a student in class 9A2) suddenly grabbed a three-section baton and struck B. on the head and face, causing injuries. Afterward, the group of students left the scene. B. was taken to the hospital by local residents.

The police in Binh Thanh Dong commune have summoned the students involved and their parents for questioning, and are coordinating with the school's administration to clarify the cause of the incident.

The school stated that they had visited the injured students to inquire about their health and invited the parents of both sides to discuss the matter, apologize, and agree on compensation for damages. The families pledged to strengthen their children's education and supervision to prevent similar incidents from recurring.

Previously, a 40-second video clip circulated on social media showing a group of students gathered in a deserted area, cheering on two male students fighting. During the altercation, one student wielding a stick-like object attacked from behind, seriously injuring another student.
