Mr. Nguyen Van Day (29 years old, residing in Xuan Hiep commune, Xuan Loc district) said that at around 6:30 a.m., a giant cone-shaped cloud suddenly covered the top of Chua Chan mountain, creating an extremely impressive scene.

According to Mr. Day, this is not the first time a flying saucer-shaped cloud has appeared on Dong Nai’s highest mountain. Previously, in May last year, a similar cloud had appeared and caused a stir on social media.

According to the Dong Nai Province Hydrometeorological Station, the phenomenon of "lens" clouds often appears when humid air meets favorable conditions to form clouds with special shapes.

This amazing natural phenomenon occurs along high mountain ranges and in sheltered areas on mountain slopes, especially when there is a steady stream of moist air flowing across the mountain or hill.

The special thing about lenticular clouds is that they are always motionless, rarely can any wind move them.

Chua Chan Mountain, 837m above sea level, is the highest mountain in Dong Nai and the second highest mountain in the Southeast. With majestic natural scenery and cool climate, Chua Chan Mountain is always an attractive destination for those who love to travel and explore.

In 2012, this mountain was ranked as a national scenic relic by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
