A Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 4MATIC in the US is attracting attention as it is about to be put up for auction with a “damaged car” (Salvage Title), not due to an accident, but due to vandalism in a jealousy case. The car is currently being kept in Philadelphia, New Jersey and will be auctioned today, June 9.

The Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 that was "beaten up" by a jealous woman is up for auction.

This luxury SUV is a pre-facelift version of the 3rd generation GLS, using a 3.0L 6-cylinder engine, 367 horsepower and 500 Nm of maximum torque, with a 9G-TRONIC 9-speed automatic transmission and 4MATIC all-wheel drive system. Despite the exterior and interior being damaged, the vehicle's operating system still works normally.

Traces of vandalism appeared in many places. The front and rear windshields were smashed with sharp objects. The side windows were also destroyed. In particular, the body of the car was scrawled with paint with the words "I know u with her" a clear sign of an angry jealousy attack.

Signs of vandalism were found in multiple locations. The front and rear windshields were smashed with sharp objects.

Inside, the entire leather interior was slashed with a knife, including the digital instrument panel and central touchscreen. While the damage does not affect the structure or performance of the car, a potential buyer will have to spend thousands of dollars to restore the interior and exterior to their original condition.
