The newly launched MG G50 2025 has been reduced by tens of millions in Vietnam

Less than a month after its launch in the Vietnamese market, the MPV MG G50 model has been discounted by some authorized dealers in Hanoi by 20 - 30 million VND, depending on the version.

Specifically, customers who buy the new MG G50 1.5 MT Com 2025 will receive a discount of 20 million VND, the car price after the discount is only 539 million VND. Customers who buy the 1.5 AT Del version will receive a discount of 25 million VND, the car price after the discount is only 673 million VND. The high-end MG G50 1.5 AT Lux version has the deepest discount of up to 30 million VND, the car price is only 719 million VND.

After the MG G50 2025 price reduction , this will be one of the 7-8 seat MPV models with the lowest starting price in the Vietnamese market. The quick preferential move of some dealers for the MG G50 has surprised many consumers, because this model was only officially launched in Vietnam on March 29, 2025.

This incentive could be a stimulus strategy to compete with rivals in the same segment such as Mitsubishi Xpander, Toyota Veloz Cross or Suzuki XL7. MG G50 is distributed in Vietnam with three versions. All are equipped with a 1.5L turbocharged gasoline engine for 169 horsepower and maximum torque of 285 Nm.

The 1.5 MT Com version uses a 6-speed manual transmission, while the other two versions are equipped with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The car's exterior features include LED daytime running lights and an automatic headlight on/off system. The two lower versions use halogen projector headlights, while the highest-end version is equipped with modern LED projector lights.

Wheel options range from 16-inch iron wheels (low-end version), to 17-inch cast wheels (high-end version). MG G50 scores with a spacious cabin, suitable for large families or passenger transport services.

The most advanced version of G50 AT LUX has: 12.3-inch touch screen entertainment screen with Apple CarPlay support, combined with 10.25-inch digital clock cluster. The steering wheel is integrated with quick control buttons, comes with paddle shifters and gear lever with a design inspired by Mercedes-Benz models.

The list of notable equipment on the AT LUX version also includes: single-zone automatic air conditioning with independent air vents for the rear seats, wireless charging, 6-speaker sound system, electronic handbrake, leather seats and electric front seats.

In addition, this version also has a 7-seat configuration option instead of 8 seats like the other two versions. The MG G50 AT DEL MPV version has some amenities cut down, only equipped with fabric seats, manually adjustable front seats, manual air conditioning and a 4-speaker sound system.

The standard G50 MT COM version is significantly simplified in terms of equipment. The car does not have a central entertainment screen but only uses a basic radio system, starts with a mechanical key, the steering wheel is not covered in leather, does not support Bluetooth connectivity and lacks reading lights for the rear seats.

In addition, the steering wheel of this version does not integrate quick control function keys. Regarding safety equipment, all versions are equipped with basic systems such as ABS, ESP, EBA, EBD, HAC hill start assist, reverse sensor and reverse camera.
