Regarding the heavy rains raging in the North, North Central, Central Highlands and South, meteorological experts have just made comments on weather developments from now until the end of May 2025.

Specifically, due to the influence of cold air compressing the low pressure trough, this evening and tonight, in the Northern Delta, Hoa Binh and North Central regions, there will continue to be moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain with common rainfall of 20 - 50 mm, locally over 80 mm.

In addition, this afternoon and evening, in the Central Highlands and the South, there will be rain, moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain with rainfall from 20 - 40 mm, locally over 70 mm.

Thunderstorms may produce tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong winds.

From tomorrow, May 25, heavy rain in the Northern Delta, Hoa Binh and North Central regions will gradually decrease.

The North has 4 - 5 consecutive days of cool rain

The North has just experienced the beginning of summer in 2025 (from May 5 to 20) and there have been some hot days, but at the end of this month, due to the influence of cold air and rain, there will be 4-5 consecutive days of rare coolness.

In the last 1-2 days, there is a possibility of widespread heat waves in the North.
