  According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from December 5-6, the North will welcome a cold air mass that will cause scattered rain and cold weather. The average daily temperature in the North is likely to drop below 20 degrees Celsius, with the lowest temperature in mountainous areas falling below 10 degrees Celsius.

Cold air and severe cold are forecasted to be active from December 2024 to February 2025. Severe cold in the Northern region is likely to appear widely from the second half of December 2024, similar to the average of many years. People need to be on guard against the possibility of prolonged severe cold spells, especially in the northern mountainous areas, accompanied by frost and ice during this time.

According to the bulletin of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from the night of December 1 to December 3, the North and North Central regions will have no rain at night, some places will have fog in the early morning, sunny during the day, cold at night and morning. The Central and South Central regions and the South will have scattered showers.

From the night of December 2, there will be scattered showers; in the South, from the evening of December 2, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places.

The Central Highlands has scattered showers, especially in the evening of December 3rd in the Southern Central Highlands, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places. Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

From the night of December 3 to December 11, the North will have rain in some places; on December 5-6, the North will have scattered rain, and it will be cold at night and in the morning. From the night of December 5-6, the weather is likely to turn cold. The North and Central Central regions will have rain in some places; in the Central Central region, there will be scattered rain and showers.

From December 6, the area from Ha Tinh to Quang Ngai will have rain, scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain. In the North, it will be cold at night and early morning. From December 6, the North Central region is likely to turn cold.
