The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that this afternoon, May 1, the South Central, Central Highlands and Southern regions will have localized showers and thunderstorms.

From the evening of May 1 to May 2, the above areas will experience scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall of 15-30mm, in some places over 60mm.

In the next 24 to 48 hours, the weather in the North and North Central regions will be mostly sunny during the day, creating favorable conditions for outdoor activities during the April 30 - May 1 holiday. The Central Central region may have scattered showers and thunderstorms at night, but sunny during the day.

Thunderstorms may produce tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Localized heavy rains may cause flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes and flooding in low-lying areas.
