Children participate in free swimming classes

Taking place from May 31 to June 30 at the center's swimming pool, the program includes two main activities: Training in drowning prevention skills for children and free swimming lessons for children in difficult circumstances.

Of which, 60 students from gifted classes, clubs, teams, and groups under the center will be equipped with basic knowledge on how to prevent drowning to protect themselves and help friends in case of an accident.

With the free swimming class, nearly 40 students will participate in 12 lessons with the following contents: Providing basic knowledge and skills to ensure safety in the water environment; causes, risks and ways to prevent and combat drowning for children when participating in swimming; introducing and instructing first aid in case of drowning; instructing on frog swimming skills; handling situations while swimming and first aid skills.

A representative of the Hue City Youth Activity Center said that the activity aims to raise awareness andeducate the community about drowning prevention for children. At the same time, it creates a safe environment for children to proactively control and prevent unsafe risks in the water environment to minimize drowning cases in the city.
