According to forecasts, in 2025, there will likely be only minor floods, with the flood peak in Tan Chau at about 3.2m - 3.5m, in Chau Doc at 3.0m - 3.3m, approximately at alert level 1 and falling in the first half of October. However, water levels may rise abnormally due to the combination of main-season floods, inland rains and high tides.

In Ca Mau peninsula, the Cai Lon – Cai Be irrigation system will be affected by upstream water, high tides and local rain, with the highest water level at stations ranging from 0.7m – 1.15m. Riverbank areas such as Cai Lon – Cai Be may be deeply flooded, while areas far from the river such as U Minh Thuong, Vinh Thuan, An Minh (Kien Giang), Thoi Binh, U Minh (Ca Mau) tend to have lower water levels.

Professional agencies recommend that localities proactively review response plans, reinforce embankments, and control inland water levels to limit damage to production and people's lives.
