Group providing guidance on home care for Agent Orange/Dioxin victims launched.
This is a pilot model of Chau Thanh district. The group providing guidance on home care for Agent Orange/Dioxin victims has 04 members, led by Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa - Vice President of the Association of Agent Orange Victims of the commune.
The group's mission is to go to the families of Agent Orange victims to care for and nurse sick and disabled people to reduce symptoms of pain and nervous tension when diagnosed with incurable medical diseases; to propagate and mobilize support and material and spiritual assistance from domestic and foreign organizations and individuals for victims.
The model selected 5 Agent Orange victims in Xom Moi 1 hamlet as a pilot, including 4 severely disabled victims and 1 visually impaired victim.
On this occasion, the Association awarded 5 million VND in livelihood capital to member Nguyen Tan Loc (residing in Hamlet Xom Moi 1, a visually impaired Agent Orange victim).
The model was born to contribute to enhancing the role of people caring for Agent Orange victims at home; helping to improve the living environment and quality of life for patients and people with disabilities who are especially disadvantaged in the community.
