Before the tournament took place, FIFA announced the bonuses for players on the official list for Group C, based on the team's performance.
Accordingly, just by participating in the group stage, each player on the participating team will receive 30,000 USD (about 700 million VND). A VFF leader said: "FIFA only supports 23 players on the final list. Based on the actual basis of the entire training process, Coach Mai Duc Chung and his colleagues will finalize the personnel of 23 players (including 3 goalkeepers) to participate in the Women's World Cup according to FIFA regulations.
Currently, the team has 28 players, with five names being eliminated. Each team must submit its final list to FIFA before July 9 (the 2023 Women's World Cup kicks off from July 20 to August 20). Teams are allowed to make late substitutions in case of serious injuries, at any time within 24 hours before their first match, with the replacement players not needing to be in the preliminary squad. Thus, in addition to the great significance of honor, being in the list of 23 players requires a high level of effort from the Vietnamese women's team, as they also receive a large amount of support from FIFA. The competition will become even more fierce."

Thus, by participating in the group stage of the 2023 Women's World Cup, the 23 players of the Vietnamese women's team have secured about 700 million VND in bonuses from FIFA. This amount will increase if coach Mai Duc Chung's team performs well and advances to the next round. For the team that wins the 2023 Women's World Cup, each individual player on the official list will receive a bonus of up to 270,000 USD, equivalent to 6.35 billion VND.
In addition, FIFA also increased the support fund for the preparation phase of the teams before the 2023 Women's World Cup, to a record high of 31 million USD (an increase of more than 2.5 times compared to the 12 million USD of the 2019 Women's World Cup). This amount has been allocated to 32 national football federations with women's teams participating in the 2023 World Cup. Each federation received about 960,000 USD to serve activities before entering the tournament.

FIFA also added an additional 110 million USD to be distributed to national football federations based on the team's performance at the 2023 Women's World Cup. Specifically, the team in the group stage receives 1.56 million USD (about 35 billion VND), the team in the round of 16 receives 1.87 million USD (about 43 billion VND)... and the champion team receives 4.29 million USD (nearly 100 billion VND).
In addition, the total amount of money that FIFA supports clubs also increased from 8.5 million USD to 11.5 million USD. This shows that FIFA highly appreciates the role of football clubs around the world in developing and professionalizing women's football.
