At Live Stage 5 of the show “Em xinh say hi”, Saabirose – the contestant who just won the chance to revive – shared her emotions when MC Tran Thanh asked about the upcoming performance. She frankly admitted that she was afraid of disappointing her teammates if she did not perform at her best. “I am afraid of disappointing my sisters if I do not do my best”, Saabirose shared with both determination and anxiety.
This time around, Saabirose took a bold approach: transforming into a “villain” to tell her story. She said the idea came from her love of “bad guy” characters in fairy tales since she was a child.
“Few people tell stories about bad people, but behind them there are very meaningful stories. I want the audience to see a different perspective, to understand that bad people also have reasons to become that way,” Saabirose shared.
More than just an artistic performance, this choice also reflects Saabirose’s inner self – a young artist who is not afraid to delve into less-explored emotional areas. She wants to turn the “villain” into a metaphor for the dark corners, the wounds and the resilience within each person. For her, this is a way to express empathy and open up a dialogue with the audience about things that seem difficult to touch.
Saabirose’s return was met with high expectations from both the judges and his teammates. MC Tran Thanh offered words of encouragement, emphasizing that daring to choose a “bad guy” story requires courage and a distinct artistic personality. This is even more meaningful as Saabirose is in a state of “revival” – a second chance to prove himself.
In the context of Live Stage 5 gathering 16 contestants with many creative concepts, Saabirose is expected to make a unique mark with a unique and narrative story.
