Previously, because he saw many wild birds coming to the fields in the area to forage, in October 2024, Mr. V. went online to order an air gun with the intention of using it to hunt birds but had not used it yet. After storing the gun at home, Mr. V. was informed by the Border Guard about the provisions of the law, the consequences, harms, and sanctions for illegal possession and use of weapons. Realizing that his behavior was illegal, Mr. V. voluntarily surrendered the gun.

Chan May Port Border Guard Station has organized the reception of the above weapons according to the provisions of law, and at the same time commended the spirit of self-awareness, voluntariness, and law-abiding awareness of the individuals who came to hand them over.
