The accident occurred at noon on December 10, 2025, while Ms. Nghĩ was on her way home from school with her child, Hùm. The accident left both mother and child unconscious at the scene. Afterward, residents called an ambulance to take the victims to Xuyên Á Tây Ninh General Hospital (Gò Dầu Ward, Tây Ninh Province).

Ms. Tran Thi Nghi is currently receiving treatment at Xuyen A General Hospital in Tay Ninh.
According to the doctor's diagnosis, Ms. Tran Thi Nghi was in a critical condition with a rapid, weak pulse, difficulty measuring blood pressure, facial abrasions, deformities of both arms; traumatic shock, fractures of both humeral shafts; severe wounds to the left arm; fractures of ribs 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 on the left side; grade IV splenic injury; grade III kidney injury; and left pneumothorax.
Meanwhile, little Pham Tran Hum was admitted to the hospital in a coma with multiple injuries, diagnosed with traumatic shock; grade 5 liver rupture; lower segments IV-VII-VIII; intraventricular hemorrhage, pulmonary contusion; closed fracture of the right humerus; closed fracture of the left femur; fracture of the suprapubic ramus.

Baby Pham Tran Hum is being cared for at the hospital.
To save the lives of both mother and child, doctors intubated them and performed emergency surgery.
Currently, Ms. Nghĩ is conscious, understands medical instructions, and is on mechanical ventilation via endotracheal tube; if her condition stabilizes, she will be transferred to the appropriate ward for further treatment. As for baby Hùm, after undergoing emergency surgery and overcoming the critical condition, Xuyen A Tay Ninh General Hospital has transferred her to Children's Hospital 2 for further treatment.
However, even though they are out of danger, the worries of the mother and child are not over. Xuyen A General Hospital in Tay Ninh has helped cover some of the costs, but the family still cannot afford the treatment expenses.
Upon investigation, it was learned that the family of Ms. Tran Thi Nghi and her son Pham Tran Hum consists of six people: the couple and four young children, with Hum being the eldest. The family is classified as a poor household in the locality, with their main income coming from hired labor. Ms. Nghi's husband works as a construction laborer. Their already difficult lives have become even more challenging.
We sincerely hope to receive the attention, support, and assistance of benefactors so that baby Pham Tran Hum and his mother, Ms. Tran Thi Nghi, can continue their treatment and soon stabilize their lives.
