Italy Former coach Jose Mourinho unfollowed Roma on social media, after being fired.
Mourinho unfollowed Roma on Instagram on January 25. According to Goal , the "Special One" seems to want to erase his old club from his memory.
Mourinho led Roma from May 2021 to January 2024. He helped the Olimpico team win the 2021-2022 Conference League, reach the 2022-2023 Europa League final and twice finish sixth in Serie A. The Conference League is the first European Cup in Roma's 96-year history. However, on January 16, Mourinho was fired immediately after a 1-3 loss to Milan and dropped to ninth in Serie A. Roma then appointed former captain Daniele De Rossi until the end of the season.

Mourinho is one of the most successful coaches in the world . He has won 26 titles, including two Champions Leagues, two UEFA Cups/Europa Leagues and one Conference League. He is also the only coach to have won all three titles currently held by UEFA. However, Mourinho is being questioned about his ability to return to lead a big club. He is often criticized for his somewhat negative tactics and not suitable for today's big clubs. The last big club that the "Special One" led was Man Utd in 2018.
After leaving Roma, Mourinho was linked with Barca and Saudi Arabian side Al Shabab. However, when asked about the possibility of leading Barca, the Portuguese coach just smiled.
Newcastle could be the perfect club for Mourinho, according to former striker Darren Bent. He believes Newcastle are in need of a trophy and a cup specialist like Mourinho could help solve that problem. "Mourinho is better in cups than in the league," Bent said.
