The power of national unity

In 2025, under the close leadership of the Party Committee, the Fatherland Front of An Khanh commune closely followed political tasks, proactively coordinating with the government and member organizations to implement patriotic emulation campaigns and movements. The spirit of "Unity, unity, great unity; Success, success, great success" became the guiding principle for all activities, from disseminating legal information to mobilizing social resources.

A highlight of the An Khánh Commune Fatherland Front's activities in 2025 was the outstanding success in mobilizing the "For the Poor" Fund and social welfare. Amidst challenging economic conditions, the spirit of "caring for others as oneself" among local people and businesses remained strong.

Through the fundraising conference for the Fund for the Poor, the Fatherland Front of the commune connected resources from agencies, units, businesses, and the voluntary contributions of numerous individuals. Every penny and every gift given reflects trust in the transparent management of the Fatherland Front.

During the campaign "For the Poor - Leaving No One Behind" and the activities of the "For the Poor" campaign month from October 17th to November 18th, officials, Party members, association members, and people in An Khanh commune donated a total of over 986 million VND to the "For the Poor" Fund. This is not just a number, but a measure of compassion and an affirmation of the inherent strength of the An Khanh community.

The funds were used promptly and practically: 40 families in extremely difficult circumstances in the commune received gifts and support, helping to motivate them to overcome challenges. The fund also paid special attention to education , providing direct support of 3 million VND to one underprivileged student to help them continue their studies.

Beyond general material support, social welfare work in An Khanh is personalized, as demonstrated by the "Sponsorship" model implemented by the An Khanh Women's Union and its branches. This model not only provides money but also offers love and enduring companionship. The Women's Union has become a "second mother" to 15 children with particularly difficult circumstances in the area, including 14 children who receive 500,000 VND/month and one child who receives 1 million VND/quarter, from the scrap collection efforts of the commune's women's branches. The women in the Women's Union not only provide financial support for tuition and books but also visit, encourage, and become second mothers, listening to the children's concerns and giving them strength to study and strive for a better life.

In addition, member organizations such as the Youth Union and the Women's Union proactively mobilized funds to organize large-scale gift-giving programs for hundreds of children during Children's Day (June 1st) and the Mid-Autumn Festival, ensuring that all children enjoy the full joy of childhood, with special priority given to children from poor and near-poor households.

Clearly demonstrating the spirit of "Drinking water, remembering the source," An Khanh commune has done a good job in "Paying gratitude and repaying kindness." The commune's "Paying gratitude and repaying kindness" fund in 2025 reached 111.8% of its target and was used to organize activities expressing profound gratitude. On the occasion of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day on July 27th, the Fatherland Front of An Khanh commune organized visits and presented 33 meaningful gifts to families of policy beneficiaries and those who contributed to the revolution. This serves as a sacred reminder of the sacrifices and contributions of previous generations, helping policy beneficiary families feel honored and warm-hearted.

Spread the power of sharing.

The compassion of the people of An Khanh extends beyond geographical boundaries. When Central Vietnam and the Central Highlands faced difficulties due to natural disasters, storms, and floods, the people of An Khanh extended a helping hand to their compatriots nationwide. Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Khanh commune, Ta Van Thang, shared: Responding to the call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the commune's Fatherland Front organized a fundraising campaign to support those affected by the storms, raising over 120 million VND; and organized a delegation to visit and provide assistance to people in Thai Nguyen province severely affected by Typhoon No. 11, with a total cost of 280 million VND. In addition, the commune's Fatherland Front acted as a bridge for 10 charitable groups in the commune to support flood victims in the northern provinces, estimated at nearly 2.5 billion VND; and received donations of 843.699 million VND and essential goods worth 2 billion VND for people in the Central and Central Highlands provinces affected by storms and floods.

The youth union members of the commune also mobilized support for people and children affected by the storms and floods, raising over 182 million VND and some essential items.

In particular, preschools in An Khanh commune organized a meaningful trip to visit and donate gifts worth over 288 million VND to Yen Binh Preschool in Lang Son province – a locality severely affected by storms and floods. This action demonstrates a commitment to the common good, a noble gesture that community organizations have sown within the community.

In addition, the voluntary blood donation movement in An Khanh is also a bright spot, demonstrating a high sense of civic responsibility. According to Bui Thu Huong, Vice Chairman of the An Khanh Commune People's Committee, the commune's Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation successfully organized the program, attracting a large number of volunteers and collecting 474 units of blood – these compassionate drops of blood have directly contributed to saving the lives of many patients.

Concluding 2025 with the warm and united atmosphere of the "National Unity Day" in residential areas – where 40 gifts and scholarships were handed directly to disadvantaged households – the Fatherland Front of An Khanh commune is ready for a new phase of development. Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Khanh commune, Ta Van Thang, further informed: The Fatherland Front of the commune has set a strategic goal for 2026 to build and develop a "Digital Fatherland Front". This is a breakthrough step to improve efficiency and transparency in all activities, specifically: Transparency in community funds; the application of information technology, especially QR codes, in mobilizing social resources will be promoted, helping people clearly track their contributions, thereby strengthening trust and encouraging broader participation. The Fatherland Front also effectively deployed digital communication channels such as Zalo and community fanpages, helping to disseminate information quickly and enabling the Front to promptly identify cases requiring urgent assistance, shortening the time to reach them...

Highly appreciating the achievements of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and other organizations and associations in social welfare work in 2025, the Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of An Khanh commune, Nguyen Trung Thuan, affirmed that the Vietnam Fatherland Front of An Khanh commune will continue to be a solid core, promoting the tradition and strength of national unity; continue to implement social welfare work, support people with special difficulties, policy families, people with meritorious services, the elderly, and vulnerable groups; coordinate with the People's Committee of the commune to promote the "Gratitude and Remembrance" movement to care for families of wounded soldiers, martyrs and people with meritorious services to the revolution in the area.

Love and sharing are the unending flow of compassion, the most solid foundation for An Khanh to confidently move forward on its new development journey: building the commune into a "green, civilized, modern and happy urban area" as set forth in the Resolution of the Executive Committee of the Commune Party Committee, 1st term, 2025-2030.
