Tourists take souvenir photos along the wild sunflower road, in Tan Cuong commune. |
The road leading to the Mountainous Research and Development Center, Tan Cuong commune, has become busier these days, as tourists and photography enthusiasts come to admire the characteristic yellow color of wild sunflowers.
The thick, evenly blooming wild sunflowers spread out, making this place an ideal check-in spot for tourists, especially those who love rustic and wild beauty.
Many tourists say they come to Xinjiang not only to take photos, but also to enjoy the fresh air and feel the peace of this land.
Dao Thi Hien, a tourist from Hanoi , shared: I have been to Da Lat, Moc Chau or Ba Vi to see wild sunflowers, but surprisingly, right in Tan Cuong, there is such a beautiful flower season. What I like most is not only the bright yellow scenery but also the peaceful feeling when standing in the middle of an open space.
Sharing the same feeling, Ms. Le Thi Huong, a tourist from Bac Ninh , also expressed her excitement on her first trip to Tan Cuong: I came here with my family and was really surprised when the landscape was much more beautiful than I imagined. The roads were filled with the yellow color of wild sunflowers, a beauty that is not fussy, not noisy but enough to create an unforgettable impression on anyone who visits.
Not only attractive by the pristine beauty of the flower season, Tan Cuong commune also shows its growing appeal to tourists from near and far. According to statistics, in 2024 alone, the Center for Mountainous Research and Development, Tan Cuong commune welcomed over 7,000 tourists to visit and experience rural tourism services.

The exploitation of the flower season scenery combined with the agricultural space and local culture creates a unique highlight. Visitors not only admire the bright yellow flowers, but also visit the farming model, learn about native plant varieties, explore the natural landscape and enjoy the typical products of the midland region.
In particular, the journey is also expanded with activities such as visiting the Tan Cuong tea growing and processing area, learning how to raise white horses, etc., creating a diverse series of experiences, thereby forming a tourism product line bearing the mark of Thai Nguyen.
With encouraging signals from the number of visitors, the Center is also making efforts to invest and improve the landscape to build Tan Cuong into a sustainable destination.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan, an officer of the Center for Mountainous Research and Development, said: The planting of wild sunflowers was initially aimed at improving the landscape and creating an ecological highlight for the area. However, when realizing that this flower is loved by many tourists, the Center proactively expanded the area, took care of it and planned the paths to give tourists a better experience. We hope that wild sunflowers will become a symbol of the tourist season in Xinjiang.
