BTO-In Luong Son town and Hoa Thang commune, Bac Binh district, heavy rain has just occurred, causing landslides and sand overflows.
Accordingly, on the night of June 20, in Luong Son town and Hoa Thang commune, there was local heavy rain, causing landslides and sand spilling onto the road surface. In Luong Son town, sand spilled onto the road surface at Km 1651+100, Km 1658+00, National Highway 1A with a length of about 40m, width of 8m. In Hoa Thang commune alone, sand spilled onto DT 716 road at km 42+400 with a length of about 30m, width of 5m, depth of about 5cm. Heavy rain also flooded, washed away, and buried 12 hectares of crops and fruit trees of the people, including 0.8 hectares of vegetables, 0.2 hectares of rice, 1 hectare of custard apple, 5 hectares of cassava, and 5 hectares of melon trees. The estimated damage was about 120 million VND.
Immediately after the natural disaster, the People's Committee of Bac Binh district directed relevant departments and localities to coordinate with Binh Thuan BOT Company Limited and the Provincial Road Maintenance Management Board to mobilize workers and vehicles to organize traffic guidance and diversion. At the same time, they deployed to handle and clean up the amount of soil and sand spilled onto the road surface at the landslide locations. Traffic on the route was ensured for normal traffic.
