The 7th full moon season of the program "Wish for children" comes to the highlands of Thai Nguyen province

NDO – Entering the 7th full moon season, the charity program “Wish for Children” has come to Binh Long commune, Vo Nhai district, Thai Nguyen province. This year, the program took place more quietly due to the effects of storm No. 3, but the meaning of the program remained intact and helped many difficult circumstances to have wings with small gifts.

Following the program "Wish for Children" in previous years, with the active participation of reporters, journalists and volunteers who are students of universities in Hanoi, the program "Wish for Children" in 2024 was held in Binh Long commune - a particularly difficult commune in Vo Nhai district, Thai Nguyen province.

This year, the program comes to Binh Long Kindergarten, Vo Nhai district, Thai Nguyen province.

This is also the 7th season, the program comes to the difficult areas in the highlands, remote areas of the country, with the coordination of the Department of Education and Training, People's Committee of Vo Nhai district, Party Committee - People's Committee of Binh Long commune and Binh Long Kindergarten, Vo Nhai district, Thai Nguyen province.

Binh Long Kindergarten is located in a difficult area of ​​the mountainous region of Vo Nhai. The school currently has 262 students, mainly Dao, Tay, Kinh, with ages ranging from 24 months to 5 years old. Located in an area far from the district center, many of the school's facilities are seriously degraded, causing many difficulties in the teaching and learning process of teachers and students of the school.

The simple dreams of the innocent, carefree boy and girl were given wings to come true.

Launched in 2017, “Wish for Children” is an annual activity every Mid-Autumn Festival, aiming to create a healthy playground, contributing to sharing love, bringing joy and laughter to children born in difficult and deprived circumstances.

True to the name of the program “Wish for Children”, along with 30 scholarships awarded to students in difficult and extremely difficult circumstances, the Organizing Committee has coordinated with philanthropists to make the “dreams” of 4 students Duong Dinh Trung, Luong Thi Thuong, Luong Xuan Truong and Sam Van Huy come true.

Duong Dinh Trung and Luong Thi Thuong, who live in extremely difficult circumstances, shared with their teachers that they dream of having a remote-controlled plane and a princess dress. Although these are small wishes, they contain a desire to have a simple joy in life.

Small gifts give wings to the hope of innocent and carefree students.

Or for two students, Sam Van Huy and Luong Xuan Truong, who are currently students at Binh Long I and Binh Long II Primary Schools, their families are poor households in the commune, their houses are far from the school, and they have no means of transportation. For them, going to school every day would be closer if they had a bicycle to go to school.

And to help the children have a bright future, the Organizing Committee brought them new bicycles and desirable items to make it easier for them to get to class, and at the same time, encouraged them to continue to strive to study.

Hopefully there will be many difficult circumstances that continue to receive support and assistance from the community and society.

Sharing about the difficulties the group encountered on the journey to Vo Nhai district and especially Binh Long kindergarten, from the survey to the implementation of the program, Ms. Van shared that due to the impact of storm No. 3, many areas in Thai Nguyen province were flooded, making travel more difficult.

However, overcoming those obstacles, the group is still determined to bring love and meaningful gifts to local children. Ms. Van hopes that after the program, many disadvantaged people in Vo Nhai district will receive the support and contributions of the community and society.

With the desire to support students in difficult and especially difficult circumstances in the area, the program "Wish for Children 2024" not only brings a meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival program to children, but also implements activities to improve the quality of school facilities, such as: renovating toilets; renovating school grounds and fairy gardens for children; Continuing to maintain annual activities to help children in difficult areas have more space to play and study usefully.

The total value of gifts and scholarships awarded in the program is about 100 million VND.

A special point is that within the framework of this year's program, the program's Organizing Committee promptly visited and supported Quang Vinh Kindergarten in Thai Nguyen City. This is one of the schools that was severely affected by the recent historic flood. With the support amount of 14 million VND, the program hopes to help the school partly overcome the consequences of natural disasters, to soon welcome 125 students back to school, continuing their path of learning and development.

Previously, on September 10, the program "Wish for Children 2024" also participated in coordination, calling for support of 200 life jackets and necessary food and provisions to support people affected by natural disasters in Thai Nguyen and Yen Bai cities.
